Beware – there’s nothing British about exploiting our Armed Services

BNP email

Another tasteless attempt by the BNP to exploit the warm feelings the British public has towards our Armed Forces arrived in my in-box.

This innocent-looking email purports to be a disinterested appeal for support for a wounded British soldier. But, beware.

  • It claims to be a personal plea but it is not signed.
  • It claims to be non-political, but the web-version of the email is on the BNP website and the return address is the BNP HQ.
  • It claims to be on behalf of Fusilier Tom James, but he is not quoted, nor is anyone related to him.

It smacks of the BNP. Their clumsy attempts to associate themselves with the heroism of Britain’s armed forces are deeply resented by our soldiers who fight for the British values Nick Griffin seeks to destroy: fairness, tolerance and looking out for the little guy.

Give it a rest, Nick.

    So the BNP want you to send him a card, whereas the Labour government sent him to near death.
    A young man, in the prime of his life, appallingly injured.

    Which sort of “Sent” do you prefer?
    We already know the answer to that question as the next Conservative government seem to want to get us into more wars, not get us out of the unwinnable mess we are in.

      Israel has murdered 2 British observers/film-makers (Hurndall & Miller) and a top British UN organiser (Iain Hook) in the Occupied Territories since 2000. Further visitors were forced to sign a disclaimer before being allowed into the concentration camps. Hamas has never treated foreigners this way.

      Israeli terrorists murdered around 700 British peace-keeping soldiers before 1948 (many, many times more than the number killed by Arabs) and Israel had another bonanza celebration of the 60th anniversary of the King David Hotel bombing (91 killed) a few years ago. No Palestinian has ever attempted anything like that.

      So the real question should be “In a war between Israel and Hamas who would you support”? Choose your words carefully.

    “Another Tasteless Attempt by Lord Bethell et al to Kick the REAL Patriots up the Arse”

    Jo-Jo Cleary was the instigator, and it seems she was helped by Simon Bennett.. this was posted by JoJo, who is, I guarantee you, offended and insulted by what you have said.

    Posted by JoJo on Facebook “Discussions”:

    “JUST TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT…..

    I was asked to help to get birthday cards sent to Tom for his 21st birthday… having followed Tom’s story as an outsider first and then as a friend of his mums, i never hesitated in agreeing… after clearing it with Lorraine,Toms mum…

    The gentleman who asked me is a facebook friend and like many of you know, i don’t talk politics and i certainly do not ask people who they vote for before accepting them… why not? Because it is none of my business,anymore than who i vote for is no one else’s business…

    Today The Sun newspaper have printed a story about the BNP using Tom and his birthday as a political stunt… THIS IS NOT TRUE…. The gentleman who approached me is a supporter of the BNP, which i never realised until today,as it is not important to me.. however, it has pissed me off no end that the papers have decided to take something genuine and try to sully it…AGAIN…

    I do not support the BNP & will not publicly say who i do vote for,although you’d have to be as thick as s@@t not to have worked it out… Nor do i condemn those who do vote or support the BNP either.. anymore than those who vote for Labour, Conservatives,Liberals or the bloke down the road with a good idea!! I do not care who votes for who & that is it in simple terms…

    Where our troops are concerned there are no politics… regardless of who we vote for,we are all humans and we all have emotions & feelings… If a member of the BNP is so touched by Tom’s plight,does that mean they can not send him birthday wishes because of who they tick for on a ballot paper? If that rule were to apply,then every Labour supporter should also be banned from sending Tom a birthday card, as it is the Labour party that sent him out to Afghanistan where he suffered such injuries… But thats as stupid as saying a BNP member cant send him one…

    I went to school with a fabulous bloke who is a BNP supporter..I have known him since i was 5 yrs old and love him to bits for the person he is,did i suddenly dislike him because a list was published with his name on it…No,i did not ,because many years later,he is still the same bloke i grew up with and his politics have never been an issue… he also served in the British Armed Forces and did his job well.. politics never came into it…

    My point is this, we have 2 IRA terrorists as elected members of parliament, we have a government as corrupt as they come and who knows what the future holds.. I do not care if every member of the BNP, Labour,Conservatives & Liberal Democrats , sends Tom a birthday card for his 21st, a birthday his family never thought he’d survive for.. all i care about is Tom & his twin having a fantastic time and am so pleased that people from across the world,let alone the UK, have taken the time to help make this happen…so ignore the media who want to sully everything..who pick and choose what they want..who decided this past week that John Terry and Jordan deserved more coverage than the two heroes repatriated got… Concentrate on what matters… regardless of who we all vote for,we are doing a good,sincere gesture…Thank you.”

    I would like to add that AT NO TIME was ANY political party mentioned on the Facebook pages.. at no time has this been mentioned on the BNP’s website. Nothing British is the new, Ugly Face of Privileged Corporate Fascist Politics who don’t give a toss about our Armed Forces fighting for a bloody gas pipeline route in Afghanistan! If there is ONE OUNCE of goodness in their evil black hearts, the over-privileged creeps who run this website will forgo a couple of hours’ pay, apologise to JoJo Cleary and these lads’ mother, Lorraine James, and send these two worthy lads a case of GOOD champagne, preferably Dom Perignon to the address that JoJo will supply. 33. reguired says:

    British soldiers’ lives are one of the most valuable assets this nation has, and should only be risked in conflicts in which British interests are directly affected.

    This simple and logical core belief is paramount to the British National Party’s defence policy, which demands self-sufficiency for our island nation in all aspects.

    As such, the BNP is committed to withdrawing from the illegal and immoral wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the prosecution for war crimes of all Westminster officials who deliberately tricked this nation into those conflicts which have cost billions and at least 300 British lives.

    The people to be prosecuted for war crimes will include the leaders of the parliamentary political parties who supported the war — Labour’s Blair and Brown, the Tory’s Hague, Duncan Smith, Howard and Cameron — and all officials who conspired to prepare the pack of lies which provided the “justification” for the invasion of Iraq.

    A BNP government will never commit British troops to any conflict which does not directly affect British interests — ever.

    Britain can only be safe if it is able to defend itself without being dependent on any other country. Britain therefore needs to have a credible and independent defence against all threats — and the ability to use this wisely.

    Successive cuts in defence spending have left Britain’s armed forces perilously weak. We will boost Britain’s armed forces to ensure that they are able to deal with any emergency, and defend our homeland and our independence.

    The BNP’s defence policy is to:

    - Strengthen our conventional forces;

    - Retain a genuinely independent nuclear deterrent and produce all our weaponry in Britain;

    - Only commit British forces when British national interests are at stake;

    - Preserve and restore our historic County Regiments;

    - Bring our troops back from Germany and withdraw from NATO, since political developments make both commitments obsolete;

    - Close all foreign military bases on British soil;

    - Refuse to risk British lives in meddling ‘peacekeeping’ missions in parts of the world where no British interests are at stake;

    - Restore national service for our young with the option of civil or military service.

    The time has come for change.
