Nicholas Soames urges huge cut in immigration to limit population growth

Nicholas Soames has said migration needs to be controlled

In a debate in Parliament’s Westminster Hall, Nicholas Soames MP warned that annual immigration must be slashed by three-quarters if the UK population is not to reach 70 million by 2030.

Winston Churchill’s grandson said failing to bring immigration under control “very substantially” could even lead to the total rising to 85 million.  The MP for Mid Sussex, who co-chairs the Cross-Party Group on Balanced Migration with Frank Field MP, said ministers remained “in denial” over the impacts of increasing population growth.

The former minister highlighted the impact on schools, maternity units and social housing and said England was now the most overcrowded country in Europe alongside Holland.

Mr Soames’ warnings were echoed by fellow Tory and Labour MPs.

Mr Soames, who backs the Nothing British campaign, told fellow MPs:

“The only way to limit our population is to get immigration down very substantially. Indeed it must be reduced from last year’s 160,000 to 40,000 or less if we are to avoid a population of 70 million.  Failure to bring immigration under control means a continually growing population, well beyond 70 million, even to 80 or 85 million in the latter part of the century.”

Commentators are now saying that the failure to address the issue of migration has played into the hands of the British National Party and we agree. For too long people have been afraid to address people’s concerns on this issue because they have felt it legitimises the extremist party. It’s about time the immigration debate was reclaimed by the mainstream so that reasonable and humane measures are adopted to deal with the impact of uncontrolled migration.

So basically what you are telling us, is that exactly the same opinions are acceptable, if they are voiced by members of the party that you are all a member of. (About 30 years too late I might add.) But if it’s voiced by parties outside the mainstream i.e. parties who have not had a hand in the deliberate engineering of this country’s demographic calamity, then it is extremist claptrap?

Well I for one am not so hypocritical, and find Mr Soames’ dangerous extremism highly offensive, and think Nothing British should be ashamed for not distancing itself from his cloaked racist rhetoric. Next thing you know the likes of Soames and other Tories will be saying, “Enoch was right.” Furthermore, I look forward to seeing the UAF demonstrating outside his house forthwith.

But he still wants to continue with increased immigration. “Cutting” immigration just reduces the pace of the increase.

Another pathetic attempt by the Tories to capture gound lost to the BNP. For the real Tory position, just look at the quote from Tory councillor Brian Parnell who accused Southampton taxi drivers of racism for displaying ‘English Speaking’ stickers in their cabs.

This would be the same Winston Churchill who wanted the Tories to adopt the slogan “Keep Britain White” in the 50s, is that not so? Just like his old grandpa.

“It’s about time the immigration debate was reclaimed by the mainstream so that reasonable and humane measures are adopted to deal with the impact of uncontrolled migration.”

But this is, like the policy of all the parties on immigration/equality/diversity, so much plain nonsense.

This is the problem with the “And theory of Conservatism” that the Conservative party, sorry, Nothing British, would have us sign up to. It involves statements like the one from Cousins above, that are simply self-contradictory. If you insist on ‘humane’ measures then what you end up with IS ‘uncontrolled immigration’.

Say a Somali is offered asylum in the UK. He is then entitled to bring his parents into the UK, this is a direct consequence of our “humane” approach. One has become three. If he is representative of Pakistanis, or Afghanis, or Algerians he will not seek a life partner from the indigenous UK population but will probably go home to get a spouse. (This is the undeniable behaviour of Muslim immigrants to Europe down to the 3rd generation.) She will now be entitled to bring HER parents. One had become six. All of these are “legal” immigrants, and this is before they have even had children.

But at least the Tory Party offshoot, Nothing British is just talking nonsense to try and damage the BNP today, instead of fabricating stuff like it usually does.

Unlike Nicholas Soames this is too little & too late.

Sound like the BNP but condemn the BNP for saying it.
Why aren’t the UAF outside his house?
All are hypocrites of the highest order.

One has to question the intelligence or lack of foresight that politicians have as regards this matter. It has been obvious before, since and after Enochs time yet it is only starting to come to the forefront now. Obviously no one wanted to be targeted by such imbeciles as the uaf. The chickens have now come home to roost. That is why we cannot depend on the present incumbents, and the time has surely come when the nettle has to be grasped. The way things are now, if you dare put your head over the parapet of common sense you are labelled a racist etc. But there is still time to rectify matters.

Yes so did his grandfather, but Churchill also said something along the lines of ‘Islam is as dangerous in a man as rabies is in a dog’.

Now I wonder which party that great man would be a member of if he were alive today ? Can anyone honestly say the Conservatives would have him ?

    Enoch was right.
It is only now, faced with this calamity termed “multiculturalism”, that mainstream politicians are beginning to engage in the immigration debate.
A debate that was begun by the BNP.

All the more reason for people to vote BNP… keep the pressure up on the mainstream. Well done Nick Griffin, your perserverence is starting to pay dividends.

Quite correct AussieAl, the pressure must now be kept on, because if not the ” authorities ” will slip back to their no care attitude and we will continue to slide down the hill, and with the continued help of the financially protected honey bees of the eu.

once the election is over, then the promises can begin to be broken. I cannot see any of the main parties having the guts to tackle your immigration issues, and the only reason this is finally being talked about at all, is due to the increasing popularity of the BNP.

Only by electing BNP representatives to Westminster, will change be effected.

Vote BNP and vote for Britains cultural survival.

I will not support ANY party that makes immigration harder or imposes caps on immigration numbers.

I know from personal experinece how difficult (in fact impossible) for certain classes of foreigners to get even a tourist visa to enter the UK.

I look forward to a time in the future when there will be a free flow of people from any country in the world to any other country.

To be honest I have no problem with any genuine tourist paying their own way coming to visit this or any other country in the way that I do.

I have never heard the BNP complain about tourists either, it is the ones that lie & come here under false pretences as students or asylum seekers or overstay on tourist visas.
