Policy Focus #20: Britain Under the BNP

Policy Focus

The BNP claim to be the only party unafraid to stand up for Britain and ordinary British working families. While the ‘LibLabCon’ is in thrall to the global elite, the BNP will put Britain first. They’ll restore us to a disciplined society, with plenty of manufacturing jobs to be proud of and protect us from the instability of the wider world.

If only we were to stop giving money to bankers and foreigners, the BNP promises, then everything would be alright. There would be plenty of jobs to go already, and higher wages. The British brands from our childhood like Woolworths or Cadbury’s wouldn’t have to shut down or change. When there wasn’t so much swearing on our tv or crime on our streets. Everything could return to the good old days, the days when Britain was strong, successful – and white.

It’s not wrong to say that things have changed, or that some people have been left behind in the new Britain. But by rushing to pick out easy villains, the BNP have missed the real causes of the tensions we’ve seen, and in the process they’ve landed on exactly the wrong solutions.

To maintain their racial and national separatism, the BNP would shut us off from the wider world. But it’s a profound mistake to believe that that would make our lives safer or more stable.

But as we’ve seen over the last four weeks, our country and people are too integrated into the wider world to just turn back the clock. The end result of the BNP’s policies would only be to splinter our country, and the cost would fall disproportionately on the worse off.

Let’s remind ourselves of the key effects:

-          their protectionism would cost each of £1300, cause long waiting lists for the latest gadgets, clothes and medicines and create a blander, poorer Britain

-          their tax break for the rich would be funded on the back of a massive increase in the prices of goods for ordinary British families

-          their authoritarian crime and immigration polices would tear our communities apart, and pour assault rifles onto our streets

-          their isolationism would turn Britain into a pariah in the world,  with no influence on the big cross border issues such as terrorism and climate change

-          their lack of credibility would send the cost of debt soaring, and lead to cuts in schools, hospitals and the army

As long as the BNP realise their dream of turning the clock back on Britain to the 1950s, of restoring us to a whites only country, they can probably live with the resulting economic devastation. To the hardcore ideologues at the heart of the BNP, racial purity comes first.

But you if want a party that cares about the same things you do, that’ll stand up for interests and your jobs, you should vote for someone else.

I am preparing myself for life under the Conservatives, coming soon.
I hope it isn’t like my local Tory council who can’t seem to account for millions of pounds or even get parking tickets properly issued!

A taste of Britain under the Conservatives, their ejection methods are more subtle but probably as brutal?

  4. Lauren says:

This mornings news says: David Cameron plans to kill off party dinosaurs. That is what they call “progression” and now we are left with red labour/blue labour/liberal hippies. What a great choice we have at the GE and just when the country is facing a huge crisis and needs strong leadership and a change in direction.

So considering that the electorate have no one credible to vote for any longer, we are left with two parties who represent the current mood of the British public and the politicians still wonder why support grows for UKIP/BNP?

Hell will freeze over before I would give my vote to any of the three main parties.

If true , that is a concern. Maybe having less foucus on material matters and a bit more on morality , though , would be a real benefit.

“their tax break for the rich would be funded on the back of a massive increase in the prices of goods for ordinary British families”

Tax break for the rich ? Has the BNP been stealing Tory policies ? :-)
    ========================================================
“their authoritarian crime and immigration policies would tear our communities apart, and pour assault rifles onto our streets”

I like the FIRST part of this claim – and I suspect there are many of similar opinion.

“their isolationism would turn Britain into a pariah in the world, with no influence on the big cross border issues such as terrorism and climate change”

Hmmm.. would it ? The BNP supports the right to self-determination. I support that policy. Self-determination involves far more than having a democratically-elected government , of course. Why WOULD we want to influence world affairs ? Would terrorism be an issue for us if we kept our noses OUT of other countries’ affairs ? And terrorist-sympathising peoples OUT of Britain ?

The West’s championing of liberty for foreign nations is in fact self-interest , driven by the desire to protect oil (Iraq) or oil pipelines (Afghanistan).
You don’t think so ? Then ask yourself this – why is the “pariah” Mugabe still president of Zimbabwe ? It’s because his country has no oil.

Climate change ? It is FACT.
That it is caused by mankind , however , is FICTION.
The BNP have stated consistently that “Global Warming” (oops , hard to call it that when you’re walking through a snowbound Copenhagen ! ) is a myth. Recent revelations suggest they are correct.

  7. WTF says:

I assume Lauren is quoting David Cameron directly when she says “kill off party dinosaurs”.

It shows Dave to be truly ignorant if this is true, the idea that a dinosaur is something that is extinct, worthless & of the past.
For a start dinosaurs were far more successful than humans in terms of longevity, it can also be argued they are with us still in many forms such as birds or sharks & many other examples.

So if Dave can’t get to grips with a concept that simple, then the rest of it will go over his well educated head.

For somebody like me to be lecturing on this stuff is patently ridiculous & proves the old saying “Why is it that all the people who could run this country are driving taxi’s or cutting hair?”

Why are our mainstream politicians so braindead stupid, why can’t they engage brain before opening mouth?

  8. Nationalist says:

Finally an article I can at least partially agree with! The part in question being the first and second paragraphs.

After that it degenerates into the usual, “You can’t turn the clock back; it’s all too late; you might as well knuckle under and accept the inevitable, etc.” Again you’re half right, it is very late in the day. But those of us who support the BNP are optimists: we believe it’s not too late to save the country, otherwise we wouldn’t be bothering to try.

One day of course, it will be too late. If the BNP doesn’t gain power (or the LibLabCon regain their senses–very unlikely it seems) then one day Great Britain will metaphorically sink beneath the waves and never again be seen. These islands of ours will then belong to another tribe and we will live under their yoke.

But, chin up! It hasn’t happened yet, and we can stop it. Let’s not be defeatist.

  11. WTF says:

“their protectionism would cost each of £1300, cause long waiting lists for the latest gadgets, clothes and medicines and create a blander, poorer Britain”

The BNP talk to others, so they will trade with others.

I think too much emphasis is placed on having the latest gadget or clothes, it is “Opium for the masses” now that Christianity doesn’t have the hold that it had.
Too much consumerism is a bad thing if resources are diminishing & it blinds people to what is really going on around them & in the world.

How much is the carbon trading nonsense & the like going to cost us a year?
That looks like being forced upon us despite repeated evidence of very bad science.

“their isolationism would turn Britain into a pariah in the world, with no influence on the big cross border issues such as terrorism and climate change”

Depends on the flavour of other governments I guess?
Maybe they will swing right as well?
Assuming you think the BNP are right wing of course.

I wasn’t aware we had much influence on cross border issues anyway.
    The EU says, we do.
We certainly don’t have control over our borders & we are an island!
Anyway we breed terrorists here so the borders don’t stop them.

Maybe we can have a “Simpsons” movie style bio-dome over the country to solve climate change & immigration all in one move?
No, climate change if true, is probably outside of our control anyway.
Bad science & carbon trading is rubbish.

So Dave & Gordon have credibility?
Well that’s news to me, maybe they changed the dictionary definition?

It looks like the cost of debt is going up anyway & you are inferring that the next government won’t lead to cuts in schools, hospitals and the army?
You are going to cut foreign aid in all forms & to the EU?
    We’ll see.

  17. Jim says:

Really, NB, you have excelled yourself in driving the great anti-BNP propoganda machine in the last few weeks! A mixture of lies, fantasies and pure paranoia. Talking of “Nothing British about the Tories”, here are the latest safe Conservative seats with their recently selected non-dinasour candidates…

    Bromsgrove – Sajid Javid
    West Suffolk – Matthew Hancock
    Spelthorne – Kwasi Kwarteng
    Suffolk Coastal – Therese Coffey
    East Surrey – Sam Gyimah
Stratford upon Avon – Nadhim Zahawi

If these areas are largely white & Conservative, then I think they will resent having a PC candidate forced upon them.

This could backfire badly, I hope so!
It seems once again an agenda is being followed that is not voted for by the voters but is imposed upon them.

  20. Peter says:

    Britain under the BNP?

    You’re having a laugh!

…and back in the real world the BNP lost another council by-election this week. The BNP vote in the working-class district of Fazakerley, Liverpool, was halved from its 2008 level and the BNP candidate even lived in the ward and had stood there before.

I predict that the BNP’s councillor base will be wiped out in May.

The BNP supporters who post on this site can click and tap away on their computers till kingdom come – but they’ll never make Nick Griffin and his dwindling band of activists electable in the eyes of respectable voters. Never.

  22. Peter says:

In the real world of electoral politics the kind of antics demonstrated by Liverpool’s BNP activists demonstrate why we’ll never live in a “Britain under the BNP”.

Turning up outside a councillor’s house to shout abuse through a loud-hailer is hardly the tactic of a party fit to govern a modern democratic state. Did the BNP activists think this would help their future campaigns in the city? More likely they didn’t think at all.

I can only plead with the BNP supporters who post here to think again. Don’t embarrass yourselves further by continuing to support Griffin’s carnival of buffoonery.
