There is Nothing British about hating Churchill

The BNP like to claim that Britain’s leading fighter against fascism Winston Churchill would have supported them and their “Battle for Britain” campaign.  Not only is this a laughable misinterpretation of history , but the BNP have also regularly showed their disdain for Britain’s greatest war time Prime Minister.

The BNP are trying to take advantage of the “Battle for Britain” spirit.

As Nothing British have highlighted, the BNP are regularly making use of World War II related imagery: the Spitfire, Churchill,  and the spirit of the Blitz.

When Nick Griffin was confronted about this he claimed:

“[Churchill] would have been full-square behind the British National Party”.

Simon Darby, the Deputy Leader of the BNP, also waded into the debate. Darby said that if Churchill was alive today he would be a BNP supporter. If Churchill:

“… was here today and had a choice of voting Tory or BNP I think he’d vote for us. He would have more in common with the BNP than with the Tories, that’s for sure.”

This, of course, is nonsense and has been attacked by Winston Churchill’s family on several occasions and by Nicholas Soames MP, his grandson, during Nothing British’s Stolen Valour campaign.

The BNP thinks we were on the wrong side.

In an undercover documentary for the BBC, Mark Collett, BNP publicity director and Sheffield BNP election candidate, said:

“Churchill was a f****** c*** who led us into a pointless war with other whites [ie the Nazis] standing up for their race.”

In a January 2010 BBC interview, Chris Beverley, Andrew Brons MEP’s chief of staff and BNP candidate for Morley, told the interviewer:

“I don’t hate Hitler.”

On Hitler’s Waffen SS Griffin praised their:

“… limitless courage and sacrifice”.

David Duke, a personal friend of Nick Griffin, blames Churchill for World War Two.

In January 2010, Duke carried an article called “How organized Jewry pushed America into WWII”. The article derogatorily describes Churchill as a “Jew lackey”.

Churchill despised all fascist leaders.

Sir Oswald Mosley was a friend of Adolf Hitler and the wartime leader of the British Union of Fascists, a Nazi sympathising party.

Nick Griffin has proudly said:

“There is a strong, direct link from Oswald Mosley to me.”

Even before the war Churchill attacked what he called the “Heil Hitler brigade in London society”, which included “those like Mosley who are fascinated by the spectacle of brutal power. They would like to use it themselves. They grovel to Nazi dictatorship in order that they can make people in their turn grovel to them.” Churchill regarded Mosley a Fifth-Columnist (a traitor) and felt “not the slightest bit of sympathy” towards him.

    Our misinterpratation of history??? What about all the lies that have been told to cover up his own racism? An example of the things he said are “I do not agree that the dog in a manger has the final right to the manger even though he may have lain there for a very long time. I do not admit that right. I do not admit that a great wrong has been done to the Red Indians of America or the black people of Australia. I do not admit that a wrong has been done to these people by the fact that a stronger race, a higher-grade race, a more worldly wise race, has come in and taken their place.” He also wrote about “The international Jew”. There are countless examples that Chuhill was a racist. NB also states that he was “Britain’s leading fighter against Fascism” Rubbish. Chuchill was only worried about the Empire and German expansion. The real fighters were the poor soles who died all over the world between 1939 and 1946

    This the same Churchill you praise so highly? – Ohhh yesssss…….

    Churchill was particularly keen on chemical weapons, suggesting they be used “against recalcitrant Arabs as an experiment”. He dismissed objections as “unreasonable”. “I am strongly in favour of using poisoned gas against uncivilised tribes _ [to] spread a lively terror _” In today’s terms, “the Arab” needed to be shocked and awed. A good gassing might well do the job.

    It makes an absolute mockery of the objectives of iraq war when you consider the the person NB idolizes was responsible for the gassing of kurds long before Saddam!

      Of course anyone who happens to stumble upon this site will also see it for what it is, a half-hearted, misguided, ultimately futile attempt to stop the unstoppable rise of the BNP.

    I am getting very confused, most BNP supporters are basically favourable towards Churchill, you are well disposed to Churchill so you are basically the same as a lot of BNP supporters?

    The truth is both Winston & his namesake Grandson have said things that are not acceptable to mainstream politics of today.
    The only people who say these things today are the BNP, perhaps the NF & UKIP.

    After spending a while looking through this website i have come to the conclusion that this is very clever propoganda. Each posting is negative to the BNP, the comments then by a very large majority are very pro BNP. I have been studying the BNP propoganda machine and know full well that they are masters of it. In fact its a toss up who is the biggest culprit using this propoganda the BNP or Labour. Mind you they are both [very cleverly disguised even to the members]fascist partys who both appear to be have read ‘mine kampf’ One far right the other far left [using the horseshoe anology they are very close]. Alistair Campbell was the master of this for Bliar, Griffin appears to have Arthur Kemp . Basically they all lie and all have hidden agendas.
    And as in pre war europe the fascists and the commies need each other to galvanise there supporters and be a focal point for there members to direct there blame and anger at,,whilst the leaders of the parties keep there own cards close to there chests. Hitler and Stalin– Griffin and Blair/Brown

    BNP beliefs are closer to Churchill’s than any other party.
    Therefore NB hates Churchill.
    Ergo, Nothing British in NB.

    I left the UK some time ago as I no longer want to live in the politically correct, left wing multiracial (garbage) can my Country has become. If I had any hope left at all that the BNP would change the once proud and great Country into what it once was, I would return. However, despite their best efforts, I think the UK has now gone to far down the ’slippery slope’ and all I can see now is a dirty multiracial melting pot of the Worlds riff raff.
    Good luck to you all, but there are places in the World where if you’re white and British, you can still hold your head high!

      With the utmost respect Ian, we have the opportunity to leave the UK. But we have decided to stay and fight, maybe if we all pull together we can turn this around, put the Great back into Britain. Good luck God Bless.

      Did anybody make the link about white children sent abroad to Australia in the 60’s & at the same time non white immigrants were pouring in?
      More recently whites have gone of their own accord & non whites are allowed in, in even bigger numbers.

      So this process has been going on for quite awhile.
