Nothing British regularly argues for a new approach to tackle the BNP.
Traditionally anti-fascist campaigners have sought to brandish the BNP as “racist thugs” and “Nazis” or expose their violence, criminality and hatred. These tactics worked during the 1970’s, 80’s and 90’s because the BNP was composed of criminals and thugs like David Copeland, the Soho bomber and former BNP member.
But times are changing.
The BNP may still contain thuggish and distasteful figures like Mark Collett and Lee Barnes, but under Nick Griffin’s leadership he has modernised the party and created a cognitive dissonance between what voters are told by the media and mainstream politicians and what they see for themselves. The result is nearly a million votes, two MEP’s, 1 Assembly Member and 50 councillors.
Griffin’s attempt to recruit relatively respectable candidates such as from the professions, ex-servicemen and women will, in all likelihood, do something to de-toxify the image of the BNP.
Here are three individuals listed as BNP candidates that clearly demonstrate how mainstream candidates and the media need to change their approach to the extremist party. They don’t stand a chance of winning, but beating these people will need different tactics to beating, say, the criminals and thugs that went before.
- Robert Grierson, a former public school boy, ex-Oxbridge, barrister and door tenant for a Birmingham set of chambers. He is listed as standing against Andrew Mitchell in Birmingham.
- Peter Greenwood, a former paratrooper who is listed as standing in Heywood and Middleton.
- Pat Richardson, is listed as one of 24 female candidates announced so far. Richardson, who says she is Jewish and is often used by Griffin to argue his party is no longer anti-Semitic, will be standing in Epping Forest.
If you are a mainstream party candidate and would like more information on our election strategy pack then please contact Jonathan Dupont by email: jonathan@nothingbritish.com

This post goes into the subject area which is powerfully explored by Anders Lustgarten in his new play A Day At The Racists, about which, in a recent interview the one-time Labour member author, said this:
***”It hypothesises the rise of a sort of Asian Hirsi Ali in this country,” he says, “in which the BNP manage to pick up a mixed- race candidate, a credible voice that seems to embody the parties ‘modernised’ principles and what many voters feel viscerally.” It’s a telling parallel: Hirsi Ali, a Dutch citizen of Somali origin, won a seat in the Dutch parliament on the back of a highly emotive, personalised and slick “liberal” anti-Islam campaign. What would be really scary, he suggests, is an avowedly tolerant right-wing nationalism which professes not to be racist but is merely “concerned” about the state of the nation. ***
Lustgarten deserves the praise he receives as a playwright and his intention “to take A Day At the Racists beyond London to Bolton and Burnley and Accrington, to working men’s clubs up and down the land” is to be applauded.
That is not to say Lustgarten’s latest work is beyond criticism. For instance I am not sure that the word “privatization” actually scares people these days and that its opposition is unfortunately congruent with BNP economic policy, is not considered. More constructively for an excellent theatrical production about to blossom, I offer this immigrant’s observation. There is a scene where garbage is scattered on stage which subsequently is cleared away. But towards the end of the last act a Union flag is hastily thrown to the floor signaling the end of a BNP press conference scene. That the flag remains on the floor for the remainder of the play, gratuitously signaled an alienating post-nationalist ultra-left stance which is decidedly unsophisticated.

What this means is that the mainstream parties are out of touch with their thinking, and that the BNP are becoming more mainstream.
If the BNP are attracting the mainstream voter, this Tory front of a site, cannot surely continue to deride the BNP or it’s support base as neo-nazi thugs etc…
Grow up and accept the change. The BNP are here to stay and the cosy arrangement between the mainstream parties will no longer function. Hopefully, more than just a few pathetic MPs will be seeking alternative employment within a few months.

You’re paying for the BNP! – A message from Nick Lowles at HOPE not hate:
Over the past few days the media have been reporting that Griffin and his fellow BNP MEP Andrew Brons have been using vast amounts of taxpayer money to prop up their extremist party. Our research team have just sent me a dossier listing the benefactors of this action – and 10 of them are standing to be MPs in the coming election, including their election co-ordinator.
We are paying for the BNP’s election campaign.
This appears to be a clear misuse of public funds – and it’s up to us to demand that the EU take the strongest possible action to stop it. We’ve set up a simple tool that lets you write to four EU anti-corruption bodies at once.
http://action.hopenothate.org.uk/fraud
According to our source inside the BNP, 14 party members are being paid with EU money. Several of them don’t even live in areas where the BNP has MEPs. And most of them are among the party’s lead candidates in the forthcoming General Election.
We can’t let this continue. If enough of us come together we can demand that the EU stamp down on the BNP’s dodgy activities – and stop each of us funding this nasty, extremist party. Our simple tool lets you write to the EU Anti-Fraud Office, the EU Ombudsman, the President of the EU Parliament, and the Secretary General.
http://action.hopenothate.org.uk/fraud
Every taxpayer is currently funding the BNP’s election campaign. With your help we can stop this right here and right now.

I really do not understand the Nothing British crowd? What are they afraid of?
We do not see them speaking out against those who would destroy Britain, The Communists (few who ever accept that there has ever been a Communist system), should be in their sights. What about the extremists in NI, Wales and Scotland who would break the Union? Not a peep about them!
Why only the BNP? Our “democratic” system is apparently not trusted by NB.
The Nazis had that same mistrust of democracy and look where that led!

Who are these “communists” Acorn?
Do you include Nick Griffin as a communist? His policies on British banks are straight out of “The Communist Manifesto”. Please have a read.
There are a great many similarities between the BNP and the Stalinists – the nationalisation, the supremacy of ideology over pragmatism, the isolationism, the extreme social-conservatism. The only real difference is the racism and the lower cultural level of the fascists.
The traditional “Fascist Spearhead” organisational structure which is still evident in today’s BNP (no internal democracy and a strong leadership surrounded by hand-picked sycophants) is copied from the Leninists.
Get some books out from your local library – don’t just rely on the BNP cult for information. Like all cults – they’ll make a monkey out of you.

i am well aware that we are all homo sapiens, and i am well aware that we all bleed red blood ( with the exception of Lord Bethell and Maurice…a nice royal blue no doubt ).
My point is that anglo-saxons have their own unique cultural niche in this vast world of ours. While the yanks, canadians and poms might speak English with a funny accent, at the end of the day anglo-saxon peoples are roughly the same; especially when compared to the Spanish, Russian or Turkish peoples.
You and your ilk seek to homogenise all peoples, which is impossible when the cultural incompatibilities are taken into account. We are not all the same; other races ( cultures, if you like ) have vastly different practices to mine, and while i do not seek to change these practices, i object when they are introduced into my world. Multiculturalism has effected this phenomenon, but it is a one way street, as migrants are all full of their rights to retain their cultural identity, but turn away from their responsibilities to act in accordance with the host culture.
Respect is never shown, yet we are meant to respect them and their cultural proclivities, which are often at odds with our cultural practices. If this view makes me a racist, then so be it, i am thus a racist.

More deluded defence from Barbara, Peter etc… of the indefensible policy of unregulated mass migration and multiculturalism gone mad. Wake up, Britain has been sold out from within. Sold out by deluded, la la land loopy lefties , with their utopic policies of peace, love and universal harmony. Sold out by money grubbing Tories and their money grubbing zionist masters, looking to further enrich themselves with cheap labour.
The BNP will not form government now, nor probably ever will, but at least a vote for the BNP will ensure some representation at Westminster; representation for people heartily sick and tired of seeing this once great nation being reduced to a third world country for a lot of its inhabitants.

Chris Beverley asks fellow BNP members on the way to a function at Nick Griffin’s farmhouse what weapons they were carrying. He was hoping they at least had some iron bars!
It’s worth re-watching Russell Brand’s weekend with Leeds BNP on the classic “Nazi Boy”. You can find it on You Tube. Teutonic Chris shows just what an “excellent candidate” he is.

And here’s Stephen Tyler (according to the BBC, a lecturer in International Relations, and who claims on a UKIP blog to have a mixed-race Brazilian girlfriend) writing on a Tory party blog. “As the BNP’s prospective parliamentary candidate for Bermondsey and Old Southwark (and a one-time Political Vice Chairman of the Bermondsey Tories) I welcome Loanna’s endorsement -however disingenuous- of the BNP and look forward to using it in our next leaflet. I would like to add that the BNP is a much broader church than our detractors are willing to admit (my own modest aim in standing is to contribute to a redressing of the balance in favour of British values, rather than in pursuit of an ‘all-white’ Britain) and is attracting support from all sections of society, including immigrants themselves, many of whom appreciate our way of life and don’t want it destroyed by the evil of multiculturalism -which, as a previous contributor has pointed out, is as much a political doctrine as Communism and even more destructive.”
