Alan Turing
The BNP claims that it is the party of traditional values and yet its outlook on modern day Britain is based entirely on irrational hatred and resistance towards change.
Modern Britain is proud of its international reputation for not persecuting those who are perceived as being different from the norm. This – in the eyes of many – is what makes us great and admired around the world. British values are born out of a long standing tradition of constantly evolving values and and an ability to adapt to the changing times.
This means we accept that in the past we haven’t always got it right. Whether it be on the Slave Trade or Gay Rights, Britain has been one of the most advanced countries in the world. We may be ashamed of our role in exporting slaves from Africa, but proud of abolishing it. Ashamed of our treatment of World War Two heroes like Alan Turing, but patriotic of the fact that he was British and proud he would be welcome in modern day Britain.
On patriotism George Orwell got it right when he said: “… it is a devotion to something that is always changing and yet is felt to be mystically the same. It is the bridge between the future and the past.”
But Nick Griffin’s anachronistic political vision does not look forward; it is obsessed with the past. An example of this un-patriotic behaviour is his party’s deep rooted homophobia.
Nick Griffin says the BNP’s policy on homosexuality is not to recriminalise it, but instead to extend Clause 28. In yet another example of Griffin’s attitude towards undermining the free press, he wants government to interfere and stop the media from promoting what he calls “homosexuality as a wonderful lifestyle”.
The BNP’s hostility towards that very British quality of tolerance is best exemplified by the party’s Legal Director, Lee Barnes:
“When I see a Gay Pride march on the TV it doesnt make me tolerant – I simply think ‘what a bunch of wankers”
But, most shocking of all is Nick Griffin’s hostility towards another British and Christian value, compassion. After the David Copeland (a former member of the BNP) Soho bombings in 1999 Griffin said:
“The TV footage of dozens of gay demonstrators flaunting their perversions in front of the world’s journalists showed just why so many ordinary people find these creatures so repulsive.”
Griffin attempts to dress his personal prejudices up as being Christian based. On BBC Question Time he said that he found the sight of two men kissing disgusted him:
“I understand that homosexuals don’t understand that, but that is how a lot of us feel. A lot of Christians feel that way.”
But Griffin should know there is nothing Christian about intolerance and there is certainly nothing British about homophobia. Modern Britain takes great pride in being a fair and tolerant country, Nick Griffin doesn’t.

To be honest I think there is too much sexuality in the media generally, the establishment is obsessed by it.
They do like it up ‘em, to misquote Jonesy.
I think it is another example of using tittle tattle to keep people from thinking about what is really happening to their country.
The other line of thought is that it is part of PC thinking & politics designed to break down the traditional family unit.
I wonder if Mohammed has warm fuzzy things to say about this subject?
I am amused by a so called gay Christian like Simon Hughes encouraging the Muslims to become MP’s & take power.

What drivel!
The BNP and it’s members is persecuted and vilified at every turn, and stop living in fantasy land, the British are not admired the world over, we are one of, if not THE most hated nation on the face of the earth!
Homosexuality is at odds with christianity, islam and mother nature…

How right you are, Turing was persecuted by the British establishment. Look at film and TV generally up until the 80s and you will see how homosexuals have always been perceived by the British.
This is what Nothing British does, or at least attempts to do.
It tries to equate historical British norms and values with the contemporary mores and proclaimed wisdom of the diversity and equality agenda. Saying in effect, that they are one and the same.
But they are no such thing. This is a lie. And a big fat stinking one at that.
It is historical and cultural revisionism of the worst kind. And spitting in the eye of every serviceman in years past, who HAS fought for British values.
There is nothing historic or traditional (or British!) about the Multi-Culturalism of the last 20 years. It is an imposition. And a form of cultural colonialism. It was invented on American University campuses, and has been applied and enforced here as a way of making the immigrant’s life easier; and hang the inconvenience of the native or the destruction of their own culture that naturally follows.
Nothing British would pretend that this neo-Marxist cultural invention IS British values of tolerance; and not that British values of tolerance have been cynically exploited in order to put this cultural perspective into the ascendant: without the consent, and against the will, of the native majority of these isles.

Who are you to say i should be digusted? I am not gay myself, and i do not wish to watch gay men, but that does not mean i am disgusted by it. Why are you so interested in what other people are doing? if they are gay then what they get upto is their business.
And your point about the aids. Although i can not disprove it, i wouldn’t neccessarily blame it on the gay community, it is down to the individual to be responsible for their actions by using protection etc. To me that seems to be a failing of society for not educating the person(s).

Good comment.
You may be new to the netherworld of BNP thought. To the hardcore BNPer all social and political issues must be campaigned on using crudely fashioned stereotypes of the “other” – on which to heap vitriol and blame.
The targets change as the world moves on and leaves them behind. When I was a kid they heaped abuse on gays, blacks and jews. Now it’s muslims, “the elite”, and “Zionists”.
Of course, most people in an educated, liberal country like ours couldn’t give a monkey’s about their nonsense. Most people just live and let live.
The BNP can’t stand that.

if you’d read my earlier post, gays are doing great harm, not only to themselves, but innocent (and normal) men women and children. It was proved beyond doubt by the american cdc (centre for disease control) who traced the aids epidemic back to the San Francisco bath houses, and even traced the homosexual who first brought it in.

Just because people are gay or disabled does not mean that they are thick. If the only people left in the world were gay and/or disabled i dont think the world would stop at all in terms of a functioning society, (apart from the fact that recreation would stop and wipe out the human race eventually). Gay and/or disabled people are inteligent.
@Davey
clearly my point went over your head. yeah being gay, who ever you are, is not deemed normal to you, wich is fair enough. being gay is not normal for me either because i am straight. but to define it as abnormal is still a null point, it is not normal for you but that is not to say that it is abnormal, it’s just different. and to say that gays do not deserve rights because they are gay is just ridiculous. that is like someone with children not wanting any rights for a straight person who is celebate by choice.

@WTF,
I don’t think people have to agree with homosexuality, or like it. I’m not saying that. But it shouldn’t be forced back into the closet like it was when I was a kid. That would be incredibly cruel and it’s never going to happen. We are not going back. We have moved on.
Look at your party’s policies WTF. One of the first things in the constitution of the BNP is the statement that the party is “against racial integration in all its forms”. Do you really believe that the ideologues who you fund with your donations have no plans to meddle with people’s private lives? There are plenty of hardcore BNPers who still think people in mixed race relationships are “race traitors”. There remain many who would enthusiastically ban homosexuality too.
Maybe WTF you are what I would call a “right-wing maverick” – someone who wants a more independent Britain with lower taxes and less “political correctness”. Maybe you truly believe in personal freedom and democracy. Only you can answer that.

What nonsense is posted here! Was Christ tolerant? No, he was not! “Gentle Jesus meek and mild” is nonsense. Ask the money changers in the temple and the Pharisees, whom he lambasted.
Maurice, do you really think that it is only BNP supporters who are disgusted by sodomy? If you open your blinkered eyes you will find that people supporting most parties feel this way but they are suitably cowed from saying so.
Millions of Christians are disgusted by the act condemned by the Old Testament (that apparently doesn’t count as it is the OT) and Paul in the New Testament ( that apparently doesn’t count because it just doesn’t suit).
Those who claim to be Christian homosexuals hide behind the fact that Christ did not personally mention their acts. He never mentioned necrophilia either so I suppose that would be OK too?

I would say hetrosexuality is normal, as in, it is the norm.
How much of the population is homosexual?
10%?
So it is a minority sexuality, that doesn’t mean it should be persecuted & I don’t believe in “cures” myself.
Even within hetrosexuality there are a lot of variations which some might say are abnormal.
The whole concept of normal is a bit fuzzy but let’s take it to mean what is acceptable to the majority of people in a society.
But even that differs wildly depending on where you are in the world.

What wrong with finding the sexual act of homosexuals disgusting, it does not mean that you hate the person. I have a good friend who is gay and he knows how i feel about the sexual act that they preform. But what he does in private is his affair, it does not effect our friendship.
People are entitled to their views even if it does not fit in with this stupid pc culture that we have to put up with.
What about the muslims they actually hate homosexuals and want to harm them, i don’t see you doing a story on their hate of the people and not the sexual act.

@MLJ,
Not at all.
If you don’t like homosexuality that is your business. I wouldn’t care either if you wished to listen to tapes of Nuremburg rallies privately at home whilst dressed up in a Nazi costume. An Englishman’s home is his castle , and all that.
You meet opposition to your views because of this: your party has entered the political arena to campaign for the overthrow of our liberal system.
You try to give the impression that you have all changed – but you spin harder than Tony Blair in an attempt to hoodwink the British public. As the BNP tries to leave the back rooms of pubs behind – don’t be surprised if you get exposed to public ridicule. Get used to it MLJ, because the British people have moved on.

Peter, I agree with you.
When we challenge the BNP over their policies they fall flat on their faces. They seem more concerned with the private affairs of individuals they about coming up with credible and economically tested policies.
@ JE the simple answer to that is no.

The country is always in need of democratic renewal. The world moves forward, times change.
It would be an act of gargantuan folly to lurch back to the thirties with Griffin and his followers.

Another characteristic of the European fascists is their predilection for oddballs as leaders – Hitler, Mussolini, and Franco. Charlie Chaplin satirised them wonderfully.
We don’t need the comic genious of Chaplin to help us snigger at Nick Griffin though. “Mr. Lardy” does it for us himself.

Firstly you have mixed two seperate points i made into one. i said that what gay people do is their own business, not that someone spreading aids should just be left to spread it further.
And saying that child molesters should be left alone behind closed doors because its their business is taking my point out of context, and to its extremes. My point was refering to what gay people do, not child molesters. Yes child molesters must be stopped, and that does mean an invasion on their right to privacy, but they loose all their rights when they commit these digraceful/digusting crimes to children, it is societies right to intervien in that persons business hopefully before any damage is done. Gay people are not causing any harm to anyone no matter what they do with eachother whether it be sexual or not that was the point i was making.

Nobody said they are thick except you. The point is that if the majority were gay there would be no procreation and then the disabled would run out of carers. Div!

If that was what you meant by your first comment then fair enough. But if you read it back you can see why i have inerperated in that way. you refer to gay and disabled people (not all disabled people are gay) and you don’t really make an obvious reference to procreation.
Fair enough i have mis-interperated.

Freudian slip Maurice?
I was talking about pushing & not thrusting but the comment was tongue in cheek & about others views.
I didn’t say anything about “forcing”?
I also talked about private lives being private within reason.
What I mean is no covering up of illegal acts but tolerance of normal consenting adult behaviour.
But then we can have a big debate about what is considered normal.

Maybe your description of me is partly correct but I don’t see any other party representing my concerns, so I go with the BNP at this time, a lot of their supporters also echo my concerns.
If I find a better ‘ole I will go there!

I wouldn’t wish death on anyone.
I’ll have a laugh at Mr. Lardy’s expense like everyone else, but I’d rather see him retract his views and then do some community work to make up for thirty years of racist rabble rousing. I don’t want to see him in the grave.

Wouldn’t you want them to at least use the meeting as a tribune to offer an economic alternative for the Borough of Sandwell?
If I was one of their constituents I’d be demanding their immediate resignations.

@Davey,
And your party has the temerity to class people as “vicious” and “wicked”!
Please just admit the truth. You hate this country and the people who live here. You do not feel at home here. You are deeply uncomfortable with our views, our morals, our way of life and you wish to change it all.
Please just admit that you are not “British Nationalists”, you are “white nationalists”. You want all non-white people to leave these islands and you want to revolutionise all the British Institutions we hold dear.
You are not motivated by love for your country. You are motivated by hate – for non-whites, for liberals, for jews and for gays.
Surely you brave boys who dare mock the dead have the strength of conviction necessary to honestly state your beliefs?

Intolerance: According to liberals, an irrational refusal to interact with others, usually because they belong to a different group; actually, the courage to stand up to liberal bullying and exercise one’s right of free association.

Hardly anyone under the age of fifty gives a hoot about gays anymore.
Sure, they still get stereotyped – but these days they’re stereotyped as funny, talkative, and creative. There are gay bars in every town and they don’t get attacked like they used to by the NF.
There are loads of “out” gay people on TV and many of our famous pop stars are gay. What about our best actors and designers? These people represent our country around the world.
The BNP are way out of tune with modern Britain. You’ve been left behind MLJ.

your point should be targeting the gay people who spread aids, not the gay community as a whole (like i say a failing of society, not gay people as a whole).
@MLJ
No i wasn’ t making a judgment to suit my sensibilities at all, like i said you took my point out of context. i was refering to gay people, not child molesters. You have interperated my point as anything behind closed doors is fine, that is not the case at all, and like i say it definatley was not the point i trying to make.
