There is Nothing British about reactionary nostalgia

537681747_7ef83022ba

To be truly patriotic is not just to be proud of your country’s past, but confident in its future.

Britain has one of the proudest histories in the world, which the BNPare all too happy to exploit. We are the country of Agincourt and Dunkirk, Magna Carta and the Glorious Revolution, the Principia and Hamlet. Britain gave the world far more than our fair share of its language and poetry, its democracy and freedom, its sport and its science.

There are many challenges in the upcoming decades. Economic challenges, as we look for new jobs in the wake of the new age of Asia, abundance and automation. Social challenges, as society adapts to our new cultural liberalism and mores.  And international  challenges as new superpowers emerge, the world struggles with the debate over global warming and tries to lift up the poorest in the world.

The BNP believes that Britain can’t cope.

That we’re not creative enough to come up with new jobs and industries. That our people are morally bankrupt, and need the harsh hand of the law to set them straight again. That we need to cower behind our borders, and hope that the external threats in the world don’t notice us. Rather than take a lead in the world, the BNP argues that we should hide from it.

The BNP’s response is a manifesto which seems specifically designed to turn us back to the 1950s. The BNP believes that our only possible future is to return to jobs of the past (even if that means a return to the living standards of the past). That the people will only be brought back under control if we bring back the cane, guns and death penalty, and censor popular entertainment. If we just pretend that China and Russia will keep to themselves, and that we never heard of global warming.

That’s not “standing up for Great Britain”, as the BNP claims. That’s being ashamed of it.

If you believe in Britain, you believe in its people and potential, that the future will be better than the past.

Britain is a creative, tolerant, friendly, dynamic country. While times are tough, we’ve seen off bigger challenges in the past. It’s not like we haven’t faced hostile foreign superpowers, economic revolutions and natural disasters before. In the end we always come through, stronger than before.

The BNP should start having faith in the country it claims to represent.

“To be truly patriotic is not just to be proud of your country’s past, but confident in its future.” & “the future will be better than the past.”

    What future do you envisage?!

Clearly not the same one as us! But there again we don’t live in your ivory towers far removed from the realities of 21st century Britain with its violence, rising unemployment, poverty, social decay, overpowering intrusion by the state etc.

Unfortunately we were not born like you with a silver spoon up our backsides!

Keep the positive outlook though guys, its gonna make the look on your faces that bit more memorable when the bubble finally does burst!

By the way, am I the only one to notice that one can tell a lot more about what Nothing British stands for, from what it doesn’t say, rather than what it does?

Take its total an utter silence over Geert Wilders speaking in Parliament last week.

A few months ago the Hungarian nationalist Jobbik party held a meeting for a few dozen Hungarians in a North London pub. Nothing British positively fulminated and foamed at the mouth with rage, condemnation and astonishment.

Yet the far-Right Wilders, who calls for the Koran to be banned and advocates both deportation and de-naturalisation, has the red carpet rolled out for him to show his film and utter his hate speech in Parliament herself! With hundreds of the English defence League (EDL) demonstrating in support outside to boot, and we receive DEAFENING SILENCE from Nothing British!?

So what we in fact get from Nothing British is the unequivocal message:
Geert Wilders and the EDL: Good.
Jobbik and the BNP (Because the BNP are an electoral threat to the Conservative party): Bad.

      All animals are equal…

Or perhaps , “as ordinary people are forced to accept a modus vivendi which they do not desire”?

    ===========================================================
“That our people are morally bankrupt”.

No , I don’t think so . The BNP’s criticism in this regard is directed not at “ordinary people” , but rather , at Westminster’s politicians.

“need the harsh hand of the law”

To counteract the soft hands of overly-indulgent liberals who encourage no sense of respect or personal responsibility? Excellent !

As I keep having to point out to you numbskulls – take your blinkers off, we are not the nice, pleasant soft & cuddly people you like to portray!

British – the English in particular have an infamous reputation throughout the world for drunken boorish intolerant and xenophobic behaviour be it following football or binge drinking package holidays…

And if we are soooo tolerant why are immigrants constantly moaning about the ‘racism’ they encounter whilst here?

She did not run rings around Griffin; she was just another establishment stooge (along with the Strawman, the Limpdem and the American museum curator), all baying for Griffin’s blood but without a single reasoned argument between them. 16. The future? This:

    http://majorityrights.com/index.php/weblog/comments/europes_future_is_this_what_they_want/

… is the future that the whole history of the world tells us is the likely outcome of forcing a people – in our case, the people of the English – into minority status … literally race-replacing it with an endless flow of unwanted Asians and Africans.

People connected to this website will deny that race-replacement is occurring, but that is an empty posture. If you import into the homeland of a people with a below-replacement fertility and an ageing profile a population with a high fertility and a youthful profile, that IS race-replacement. Further, if you do everything in your power to encourage miscegenation, “tolerance” and self-loathing among the indigenes, and label their instinct to survive as “hate crime”, “xenophobia” and “racism”, you are running very, very close indeed to committing an act of genocide under the terms of the Convention of 1948/51.

That is how deadly serious this matter is. James Bethell is NOT serious about it. No one is serious until they understand the true scale of what is being undertaken and begin to ask why … who wants this evil, not just in England but in all the living spaces of Europe’s children? Who is guilty?

Plainly, it isn’t the BNP or anyone else striving to prevent a disaster of the gravest kind. Ask, then, the right questions.
