In its fourth annual report into racism and intolerance, EU anti-racism quango the European Commission against Racism and Intolerance (ECRI) states that there have been “positive steps in fighting discrimination” in the UK, but argues for greater intervention in the media.
The ECRI says it is encouraged by measures taken by the UK government, including:
- 1. The strengthening legal framework for combating racism and discrimination.
- 2. New criminal provisions on the prohibition of religious hatred have been enacted and police forces now apply a uniform definition of racist incidents.
- 3. Continuing improvement in educational attainment among black and minority ethnic pupils and the narrowing gap between minority ethnic groups.
The report also - worryingly – salutes the introduction of Harriet Harman’s barmy Equality Bill, which has been condemned by the Pope and right across the political spectrum.
The ECRI acknowledges that although positive steps in fighting discrimination have taken place, racist violence is -sadly – on the rise and is a “cause for concern” for the Commission. The report stresses that the UK government makes more effort to “prevent such violence from occurring at all”.
Disappointingly, the report is an out of date textbook in how to look at racism in modern Britain. For example it blames the tabloid media for “regularly” presenting immigrants and minorities in a “negative light”. This ignores why support for political extremism is on the rise relying on muddled and lazy criticisms of the tabloid press instead.
Of particular concern is one of the ECRI’s recommendations for combating this popular perception: calling for greater Government interference in the free press.
The ECRI “strongly” calls for the Government to “continue and intensify their efforts to impress” on the media that reporting does not “contribute to creating an atmosphere of hostility and rejection” towards ethnic minorities. It then urges the Government to be “proactive” in countering such an atmosphere.
Unless Europe’s elite recognises the legitimate concerns of EU working class voters, who are victims of policy failures stemming from globalisation, noble efforts against racism and intolerance will be utterly meaningless.

It is the EU’s thought-crime legislation.
That not only is to criminalize expressions of racism and xenophobia. But the belittling of war crimes too. (Article 1)
It outlines what punishments should be met out. (Articles 2-6)
And insists both that member states actively police such rogue opinion (Article 8), that people be viable in one state for expression of “hate speech” in another (Article 9), and that member states put this law on their statute books by November of this year (Article 10).
And surprise surprise, the origin of this legislation is? Title VI of the Lisbon Treaty!
On which, you’ll remember, we had David Cameron’s cast iron promise of a referendum.
So for a Tory body like NB to come out all high and mighty, is hypocrisy in the extreme, yet again.

Well thats another 600 BNP leaflets delivered. On target for 2000 leaflets delivered per month. My allocated area will get 10 different leaflets from Jan to Election day. They will also get the BNP newspaper delivered. I also know that the rest of the town is also getting the same treatment from a core of dedicated followers. How many races are there? How are they defined?

There hasnt been once instance of any African country ever achieving anything like ours. We, invented, we built and we improved modern society as we know it. You look at any African nation and all they have done is messed it up. Not one country is doing well. Unfortunatly when they are left to there own devices it crumbles. Our species evolved in Africa when our simian ancestors climbed down from the trees. We made our first footsteps across the African plains and we invented farming and towns there. Great civilisations flourished such as the Kingdom of Benin and we achieved a level of linguistic diversity in Africa way beyond that which later developed in other parts of the world.
As we migrated to the north east we improved our farming methods and developed city life in Mesopotamia and then we spread all over the world. We are still moving to this day. It’s the human condition.
The problems you mention about recent African history relate to the development of capitalism, world trade, imperialism, colonisation and independence – not to racial issues.
We are all Africans. We should be helping our brothers there.

You honestly think they care? All the problems with immigration and the promotion of multiculturalism was foreseen many moons ago. Yet ‘YOU’ did it anyway.

I remember when the professor who pioneered DNA research – James Watson released his findings not so long ago that black people were less intelligent than whites.

Yes, his research found that the “Chinese” were more intelligent than “Whites” too.
However, he didn’t take into account cultural attitudes to education within different communities. The Chinese basically came top because they were more likely to have a “studying culture” at home than the other groups and educational attainment was most highly regarded in this group. The other groups were successively less focused on educational attainment and their supposed IQ levels mirrored this.
It was a similar situation to school league tables in this country. They don’t really rank teaching quality they rank socio-economic class.
