Nick Griffin: We have a credibility issue

The Sun - Nick GriffinIn a wide ranging and revealing interview with Russia Today, Nick Griffin said that the BNP had a “credibility issue”, but that he was intending to build a grass roots movement to fill the gap left by mainstream parties.

On the BNP’s failure to build a European block in the European Parliament, Griffin said that there are “no real nationalist parties” in Europe and that proper nationalism was the belief that to be a British citizen you have to be a born in Britain. On Black people he said they were ok so long as they “abide by our way of doing things”.

Griffin also admitted that in Europe he had “no power”, but that he was going to “raise the alarm on matters that undermine sovereignty in Britain.”

On foreign affairs, Griffin said how his party was building stronger ties with an increasingly nationalist Russia and Europe’s last dictatorship, Belarus. He also said that he would not place troops where British interests were not at stake. And adding, rather confusingly, that he would pull troops out of Iraq (operations in Iraq ended back in April 2009) and Afghanistan.

And on the banking crisis, he said that banks that had failed because of their own “stupidity” should “go to the wall”.

He dismissed the National Front and other “white nationalist” groups, but he believed that they might be part of the Establishment so they can blame whites for trouble (see August 2009 Birmingham skirmish in the Daily Mail) just as much as Muslims. However, he refused to distance himself from his National Front days of the 1970s and 1980s and called it a serious political organisation, “much like the BNP today”.

Finally, in the next General Election of 2010, Griffin  said that he would like to come second in constituencies because when by-elections turn up they will be in a good position to take the seat.

BNP has a credibility issue – can’t possibly think why. I mean, it’s not like they’re a fascist party standing for white supremacy, have a great deal of support for and from other fascist groups, nor that their supporters have already been involved with a lot of racist attacks, or that their party members are in denial about the obvious existence of the event that is the Holocaust. It’s not like they’re getting the appropriate support through propaganda, heavy distortions within any kind of “facts” that they publish in order to scaremonger people into thinking there’s a huge problem with the country, when really, there isn’t. Completely baffles me.

In case you didn’t detect it, that was sarcasm. It might be the lowest form of wit to some people, but it sure gets the point across. Here’s some real facts for you though:

    1) The BNP stand for fascism in Britain. The party manifesto has extreme likenesses to the party manifesto and the ideals of the Nazi Party.

    2) When it came round to the Nazis rising to power, they didn’t have a great deal of choice – when the ballots were cast, there was only one party to vote for. This is the only reason they came to govern Germany.

    3) The Holocaust happened. I have seen countless videos, movies and pictures about it, as I study German History as part of my degree. My brother has been to a concentration camp in the Czech Republic and I have seen two exhibitions at the German History Museum in (East) Berlin, and in the Imperial War Museum in London, both of which had used canisters of Zyklon-B gas that was used in the mass-killing of millions of oppressed minorities. It happened, and no one can or should ever deny it did. It should serve as a reminder of what should never happen again.

    4) The facts and figures used by the BNP in order to persuade people to join the party are mainly false. If you look at the entry on the UK in the CIA World Factbook on http://www.cia.gov, then that will be able to tell you just how close white people really aren’t to becoming a minority in Britain. The rest is propaganda in order to try and make you see that our current government is crap (which, in this current instance, it is), and that the BNP is the only way forward (which it isn’t). Don’t be persuaded by the people who shout loudest – look at other parties, as they have some much more constructive ways of running our proud nation. Please bear in mind that this information is being told to you by a White male of British descent.

    5) There’s a lot less wrong with this country than people think. Sure, the British economy is in dire straights at the moment, but it’s generally the same in the rest of the world. Only five sovereign states have actually managed to leave the recession, and that’s because they don’t live in countries where assets are essential to well-being. Because assets aren’t essential to well-being, they don’t need to borrow money from anybody, because their wages cover them for things such as rent and bills. If we as people stopped feeling the need to buy property outright, then maybe we’d actually find that, as a nation, we’re much better off. As for everything else, at least it still works. If it isn’t broken, don’t try and fix it!

  2. [...] Nick Griffin recently admitted that the BNP have credibility issues. Attacking a popular American politician within a day of dying following a prolonged battle against a brain tumour is why.  But this is what we have come to expect from a party that is founded on a politics of hate. RJ – if what the BNP were saying was completely based upon fact, then we wouldn’t be contesting it as strongly as we are. There is practically no proven evidence that what the BNP is saying is right, as shown through a lot of these discussion forums – they are just trying to scare people into voting for them. I’ve seen a lot of facts for myself, and as I see it, as White, British citizens, we have practically nothing to worry about. If people don’t like the state of the country, then move somewhere else – after all, the EU does allow free movement for all its citizens.

I’m not a Tory or a Labour voter – as far as I’m concerned, until they change, they can both kiss my backside. I do my voting based purely upon what I want for this country that I am (mostly) proud to be a citizen of, and what I want for the country does not account for the extreme ideals of the BNP. I agree that our country should be proud, but what the BNP suggests is not a fair solution, nor is it a viable solution, and therefore, unless I’m forced to do so at gunpoint (even then it’ll be iffy), I won’t be voting BNP. Not now, not ever.

Also, please don’t use expletives – it’s unnecessary and vulgar, and it won’t do your beloved party any favours.
