Arthur Kemp, the South Africa white supremacist ideologue and BNP foreign affairs spokesman, has said that the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s court case against the BNP’s racist admission policy is a “huge own goal” and will help the party to “destroy one of the biggest arguments against it”, namely that it will no longer be labelled as racist.
This is yet another indication of the BNP’s intention not to fight the EHRC to the “bitter end” as it fears it will run out of resources. The BNP believes, as Kemp said yesterday, the court case is designed to “use up party resources needed to fight the general election”.
Some are now arguing whether the EHRC have shot themselves in the foot over their handling of the BNP. Apart from squandering large amounts of taxpayers money and generating huge amounts of favourable publicity to the BNP, what have these proceedings achieved?
We already knew the BNP are a racist organisation and rule changes weren’t going to change that. (Why did the EHRC wait till after the Europen election? Why haven’t they enforced the rules on other bodies that enforce ethnic restrictions?)
The BNP, on the other hand, have gained a lot from this process. They now look like victims of a politically motivated attack and have turned a court case, designed to obliterate them, into a victory by announcing they can no longer be called racist as an organisation.
We believe this whole affair is a classic example of how not to defeat the BNP. You can not legislate organisations like the BNP out of existence. You can, however, seriously address the concerns of ordinary voters on issues like immigration, Islamism, job displacement and national identity.

They have shot themselves in both feet. It’s nothing more than a thinly veiled politically motivated attack.
Bring it on.

Only time will tell if the EHRC’s actions will prove detrimental to their cause, but the important thing to remember is that their cause – the EHRC’s – was as racist as you can possibly be: saying to a group of people it HAD to change its race.

Fellist, I don’t think the EHRC’s actions had anything to do with race. It may have been motivated by politics. Either way the EHRC, however politically correct it may be as an institution, aspires to promote social cohesion. The BNP, regrettably, openly attempts to wanting to promote division and is against the promotion of integration between different ethnicities.
If the BNP were to preach a more tolerant tune it wouldn’t be hounded in such a way.

Maurice, if it wasn’t about race the EHRC would have challenged the various groups devoted to the interests of particular ethnic minority groups or assembled ethnic minority groups excluding White people before challenging the ONLY organisation devoted to Whites.
This brings us to your “promotion of division and opposition to integration” — relative to 2009 we were fairly undivided and integrated in the 1940s, the EHRC is succesor to the ideology which destroyed that inheritance, and since it does not consistently “promote integration” or “oppose division” I see no reason to believe that its underlying agenda has changed.
The BNP on the other hand, are consistent, both at the local level, favouring free association for all people (even if they happen to be White); and at the global level, privileging the rights of native peoples over colonists (even if the natives happen to be White. This provides a direct contrast with not only the EHRC but alos with establishment parties who assume a racist double standard at both levels towars White peoples.

Also, Maurice, tolerance – contrary to sales spiel – is not a value in itself but a negation of all values. I also note your incoherence: we will not tolerate the BNP unless they become more tolerant!

That’s because dey white … innit.
And ultimately that’s the meaning of all this: if the BNP doesn’t have the right to be White, then White peoples have no collective rights. And if a people has no rights, what’s to stop aggression against it?

I look forward to the day the EHRC are disbanded along with all the other tax eating QUANGO’s.
They will always be picking a fight with someone to justify their expensive existence & to boost Trevor’s ego.

Hi AussieAl
I think I have figured dear Sam out, I believe he is a “Braveheart” type of Scotsman who detests the English with an almost genetic passion probably dating back to the highland clearances.
But Sam doesn’t want to be seen as racist, so he focuses on the BNP which he sees as Northern English nationalist party as the vent for his anti English feelings.
But the BNP are no threat to him personally & probably never come within spitting distance of him.
The delicious irony of this website is that is run by well connected dyed in the wool Conservatives who will be in power within a year & will no doubt benefit greatly from this.
But Sam supports this website which attempts to stop votes going to the BNP & keep them for the Conservatives, well in theory at least.
The one thing a Scotsman like Sam detests over almost everything else is English Conservatives running things at Westminster, whereas at the moment at least Gordon is one of his own.

Funny enough & I’ll admit my history is a bit fuzzy on this point but I think Queen Victoria may have had something to with them dressing up in kilts & the tartan just over a hundred years ago, maybe some sort of elaborate practical joke?

sam, to offer an opinion that differs from yours, does not make one a racist or fascist. People are sick and tired of having multiculturalism forced down their throats, especially when they were offered no say in its implementation. I am guessing that most supporters of the BNP are normal, decent people who feel ignored by the other parties and are not the nazi stormtroopers that you and the rest of the lefties try and portray them as. You are a shitstirrer who does not even attempt to engage in constructive debate, although your moronic ramblings are amusing

aussietwat most supporters of the british nazi party ARENT normal people.they are ultra nationalists with no political policies, apart from deporting all immigrants .so if you think that is enough of a reasonable argument to elect a goverment, who have no other political agendas, then cobber i think most people will agrre ,that you are indeed the moron.thats not a knife, this is a knife.

[...] Nick Griffin is desperate to shed the BNP’s image as a single issue party and would like to present to voters, now that it has political representation, that it is capable of holding its own in the political arena (hence why he spoke about Iran in his maiden speech to the European Parliament). Furthermore, BNP is attempting to mirror public concern on issues such as Afghanistan, Iraq and now Iran by debating foreign and defence policy. [...]
