BNP QT news round up

Here is a round up of the best analysis of the last night’s BNP appearance on QT.

Nick Griffin: repugnant, slippery and exposed as an empty vessel – Daily Mail

Max Hastings gives his analysis of last night: “This was not Question Time as we know it, about Afghanistan, or the Roman Catholic bid to take over the Church of England, or bankers’ bonuses. It was QT squarely and exclusively about Nick Griffin and the views of his British National Party.”

On the immigration debate, Hastings says the following: “The Tory Baroness Warsi, by far the most impressive member of the panel, asserted boldly: ‘That is not an honest answer. There are real issues. We have to go out and say to these people – who have voted for the BNP – we are prepared to listen. We are prepared to deal with this. We need a cap on the numbers.’”

BNP on Question Time – Daily Telegraph

“Tory peer Baroness Warsi said Mr Griffin was ”obviously a confused man” and a ”thoroughly, thoroughly deceptive man who comes on here and tries to sell whatever message that he wants”.

He was ”evasive” in his answers and brings Christianity ”into disrepute”, she said.

But Baroness Warsi also accused Mr Straw of not being honest when he claimed that the rise of the BNP was not because of voter dissatisfaction with Labour policies.”

Nick Griffin on Question Time – The Times

Matthew Parris says: “For me the star of the panel was Sayeeda Warsi, from the Shadow Cabinet. She was cool, she was measured, and spoke with quiet passion. She sounded sincere and avoided fireworks.”

He goes on to say:

“Jack Straw tried too hard. He looked anxious, sounded forced, and seemed to have practised many of his lines, losing his audience as he banged on about the past. To me — and for the first time in my observation of Mr Straw over the years — he was starting to look and sound like a man out of his time. He won, and deserved, the first spontaneous applause when he talked about the Second World War contribution of black and Asian troops; but when Lady Warsi challenged him to acknowledge public fears over immigration (“there are some things politicians just have to be honest about”) she had the better of him. It was of course easier for Lady Warsi as an Asian, to make this argument without fear of being called racist; but she exploited the advantage elegantly and with intelligence.

For the Liberal Democrats, Chris Huhne was lucid and confident, and spoke cogently, but said little that was distinctive; he didn’t lead; he didn’t take the argument forward.”

Nick Griffn’s night out – The Guardian

Sunny Hundal writes:

“Like most people, I hate admitting when I am wrong. But the BBC proved me wrong last night by showing an episode of Question Time that wasn’t the car-crash I was expecting. My concern has always been that it was the wrong platform for Griffin as it doesn’t usually allow sufficient space for people to challenge each other. And so Griffin could have got away with pretending to be a “normal” politician by offering populist rants on Royal Mail, Afghanistan and other issues.

As it happened, the BBC’s David Dimbleby did not let him off the hook so easily and made him answer up to his highly controversial past. He was caught out: flustered, making inane statements and pretending he was being stifled by European law when asked to explain his antisemitic views. He must have felt stitched up.”

What the BNP leader says and the facts show – The Guardian

This is an excellent piece on what Nick Griffin said last night.

One more reason to vote for the anti-racist BNP – the only party that doesn’t think that not being white is a value in itself.

this is for you fellist regarding your explanation of why the colonials helped during wwII

Aaaah the standard they fought for themselves . so smart arse why did they come and fight in the 1st world war when independance wasnt even on the table then. 1.5 million indians volunteered and heres a little cut and paste from the longman companion to the first world war( a reputable and recognised reference book)
With regards to Africa, the figure of 55,000 refers to soldiers who saw combat; the number of Africans involved as auxiliaries or otherwise is likely to include several hundred thousand. Troops were drawn from Nigeria, Gambia, Rhodesia/Zimbabwe, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Nyasaland/Malawi, Kenya and the Gold Coast. Figures for South Africa are given separately. In the Caribbean, the British West Indies regiment drew men from across the region, including Barbados, Bahamas, Honduras, Grenada, Guyana, Leeward Islands, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Trinidad and Tobago; the bulk came from Jamaica.
if you think reference books are part of a marxist conspiracy then try the commonwealth war graves commission.

You Sir are a tool of the highest order. In the first week of the poppy appeal where we rightly remember those who gave their lives for us, have the gall to attempt to belittle their sacrifice to justify your own beliefs about race and colour. Putrid Rancid man SHAME ON YOU.

Ok so if they fought four their own ideals in wwII how do you explain the 1.5 million volunteers from india in the first world war when independance wasnt even on the table.

I thought he did well considering there was a lynch mob outside & a fairly hostile one inside, I have seen politicians look a lot shiftier under less pressure on Newsnight getting “Paxo’d”.

If someone threw quotes at me from years ago I’d have a hard time responding too, one to remember if it was accurate & what the context was, along with the punctuation or stress of it, is it ironic, factual or just plain sarcastic?

  7. WTF says:

Actually the debate on this programme reminds me of the story of the 3 blind mice who come across an elephant, afterwards they discuss what it was.
They all have different experiences as one felt the ear & thought the elephant was thin, leathery & flat.
The second thought it was like a snake as he had felt the trunk & the third thought it was like a tree trunk as he encountered the leg.

So they were all correct but none saw the bigger picture, which is what is going on here!

Interesting (not the shit beating bit) as my understanding is that the programme was actually recorded earlier but that doesn’t stop a live or delayed text being displayed on the broadcast programme.
I assume yours was a comment not a question?
If it was a question was it answered by the panel?
    Not directly I guess.

It’s something powerful and dark that can keep a political party from simply doing what almost everyone in the country wants done.

Did you see the big Enoch Powell documentary a year or two ago? Heseltine admitted that in the aftermath of his ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech Powell as leader of the Conservatives would have won a landslide general election victory. Polls for years found him the most popular politician in the country.

    Democracy? I don’t think so.

What I would have liked to have heard would have been some policy arguments amongst the panelists with regards to the issues that have allowed the BNP to gain political traction, maybe next time eh…

The really scary thing was the unite ‘against’ facism mob outside the gates. These people really have deluded themselves into believing that attempting to suppress the views of an elected official is protecting democracy. Extremist behaviour is never going to go down well with most of the British public, no matter what side of the political spectrum it comes from.

Why then don’t we have the entire world come here, or at least those who want to, & claim asylum, then make a decision?
No the system would collapse under the strain, there already have been 5 amnesties I know of, we have to have more control or things will be even more strained.
My biggest fear is we go on the way we are, a lot of innocent people will suffer the backlash or get caught in the crossfire as various communities fight to hang to what they see as theirs.

So clever use of the language aside, I don’t accept that a person crossing many safe countries to come here is a genuine asylum seeker, they are an economic migrant.

    Hello all.
Some good points on here tday. Griffin may have the balls to tell it like it is but he hasnt the position to make credible because of his obvious racist history. Now in a way i do feel sorry for the average white guy because he cant make a statement on immigration without someone thinking he goes home and gets dressed as a member of the Waffen SS. I as a non white person get to speak on the subject without any such problem. Im gonna give you my plans and i have been called a nazi before, as some of my ideas are pretty mmmm harsh to say the least.
Compulsory preventative chemical contraception administered to all. (currently women but i dont care who gets it Implant/coil type device.)
Now the right to have children is a basic human right i know.
But so is my right to walk down the street without being exposed to your ill educated, bad mannered sprogs.
If you want kids, you illustrate your ability to educate and finance your children and your ability to provide moral guidance and discipline. a licence is granted the contraceptive device is removed and off you go.(in malaysia before marriage you have to attend classes).
The unemployed earn their benefits… im not here to humiliate people and have them working on chain gangs but this country has a million things it needs doing and more than a million doing jack shit. So off you go into your community, help your fellow man and you will recieve top ups to the basic benefit. Sit on your arse and you wont be watching the soaps on a 50inch plasma and getting pissed every day(youll be starving). If you are incapable of work due to illness. PROVE IT. the genuine disabled will be encouraged to find work they are capable of. If you are severely disabled relax, we will carry you and provide a good standard of living(and pay for family members who care for you)
im stopping now before i get to the bit where i replace the bone idle with people from accross the world(colour irellevant) to fill your position if you decide your just gonna live off my/our contributions.(fuckoff to sub-saharan africa) Because i know that kid sifting through the tip or sewing trainers all day to live, will do something with the opportunity that being British affords you.
Oh and 6 weeks compulsory voluntary work overseas(aged about 12) cause i remember getting lazy at school and my dad sending me to India. It only takes a few hours of seeing people starving to death to make you grateful and affirm your commitment to improve.
I cant wait till im the leader of the bnp …. and i havent got to crime and punishment yet.

    Hi Reasonable voice
“the average white guy because he cant make a statement on immigration without someone thinking he goes home and gets dressed as a member of the Waffen SS.”

Yes this is the clever thing that PC politics has done, it has done a form of conditioning, word association, neural linguistic programming is what I think it is.
As I have said before “Racism” & “Fascism” have become “shut up” words, debate stoppers.
The idea that to be declared a “Racist” &/or “Fascist” is the biggest sin in the world has been well & truly planted in peoples minds by people who are basically Marxists.

That has to be the sickest joke going.
You can imagine Stalin saying to Hitler “That’s not the way to kill people, you’re an amateur compared to me & Mao”.

It has led to the average white English person uttering the immortal line “I am not a racist but……” & by PC standards they will then say something racist.
I always laugh when that line comes out & kick myself if I am stupid enough to say it.
They are made to feel guilty about their opinions, others can say dreadful things but that is ok they’re not white.
It seems everybody can claim victimhood except a white man unless he is a hard done, overworked, overpaid MP & they are precisely the people I am blaming for this evil mess.

Otherwise I am going to seriously get worried!

I would also say that some people don’t know when they are well off & a dose of reality isn’t a bad thing.

I want to see less government, I want the BNP to stay out of the bedroom & concentrate on the boardroom.
Heard about the census questions LieBore want to ask in 2011 unless Dave quashes it?
Who stays in your bedrooms overnight?

I wouldnt call it Eugenics(i always understood that was building the perfect Aryan) Its not quite the same as i dont believe that you can be “good born” we are equal born. Nothing seperates you and i from the kid starving in Africa.
Just blind luck. Islam oddly enough dissolves the whole idea of race. My father on his pilgramage to Mecca performed the rites with muslims from all over the globe non more preferential to god than the other. I just think we either get people to take responsibilty now or we really are fooked.
I am afraid the death penalty would be back(contrary to human rights legislation) Im not some crazy but do they think they can “rehabilitate” someone who is guilty of raping a baby? Im afraid youd get your fair trial, appeal etc .Followed by an independant “check” given the nature of the punishment. then im afraid two shots behind the ear and an unmarked grave.
Rehabilitation costs vasts amounts of money and is wasted on many. Minor crimes… 3 strikes and your out is ok for me. violent crime = Violent punishment.
Corrupt officials or people abuse the public office…. 15 yrs and being stripped of your assets(lord archer for example wouldnt have come out to a fortune or wrote any more shit books) Im sick of bloody liberals too. Im a humanitarian with a big stick…lol

  65. WTF says:

Well Eugenics apparently goes back to Charles Darwin’s half cousin, perhaps they wanted babies to be born with beards or some such thing.

Rehabilitation has become a dirty word meaning let them out early & take your chances, a sort of Russian roulette for the public.

Now Lord Archer can be taken back to the Victoria Station toilets & have his head flushed down the loo for all I care.
Then he can eat all the unsold copies of his books.

You want cruel & unusual, I got it.

So in other words be nice or I am going to beat your brains out!

Yeah darwin has a lot to answer for.. and the Americans who created and supported Eugenics institutes in Europe bear a great deal of responsibility for the Holocaust.
Ive had enough and so have a lot of others.. i was in Italy a while back and the family came out to stay for the summer holidays. I sat in a large town square at 11.30 at night on saturday with my wife and 3 children eating ice-cream. I cant do that here and it pains me. The town was full of pensioners and teens pretty much everyone you can think of… But no drunken vomiting/fighting/fornication that we have become accustomed to in Britain.
If we have to beat people for this little slice of utopia then pass me the truncheon… Ooooh i just thought i could be like a member of the Iranian “religious police”

JMAC said: “The Baroness’s comment about “bogus asylum seekers” was actually correct. An applicant or “seeker” cannot by definition be bogus. Only when the application is investigated can they be deemed legitimate or bogus. Perhaps those BNP supporters that jumped on the so called “gaffe” need a little more education in the use of the English language. Ironic really! As far as Griffin goes, the man is a liar, conman and idiot! The indigenous population of England stems from 17,000 years ago? Neanderthals then. That explains the BNP membership!

You become a bogus asylum seeker when you fraudulently seek asylum, not when the fraud is discovered – at that point you’re no longer a seeker and the past tense becomes appropriate: ‘he WAS bogus asylum seeker.’

It isn’t known for sure exactly when our ancestors began to repopulate Britain. The wiki page on the ‘Genetic History of the British Isles’ – terrible title, should be British peoples of course – summarises some of the major studies:

The percentage of the R1b haplotype on the Y chromosomes of English males, at about 64%,[21] indicates that they may be descended primarily from the earliest Paleolithic peoples thought to have recolonised western Europe from a western Ice Age refuge after the end of the last major glaciation some 25-15 thousand years ago.

The Oxford archaeologist David Miles, in The Tribes of Britain, states that 80% of the genetic makeup of native Britons probably comes from “just a few thousand” nomadic tribesmen who arrived 12,000 years ago, at the end of the Ice Age.

Humans probably returned to the region of the British and Irish peninsula about 14,700 years ago, as glaciers started to retreat, after an absence of about 10,000 years.

I hold LieBore for leading our youth astray with binge drinking.
Did you hear how rave culture was destroyed by the alcohol lobby pressuring the police to shut raves down?
Problem was that they took Ecstasy not booze, so once the raves ended, the bored youth were back in the bars.

It seems this government are happy for traditional pubs to go but encourage bingeing in bars & cheap alcohol in supermarkets.
Is this so they can’t think straight, can’t see what is happening to the country they will inherit?

The idea of a sun tan has nothing to do with race. It is to do with class. When it was only peasants who worked on the land the toffs preserved their pale, expensive complexions. When only the rich could holiday in the sun and the working class were pale from working in factories a sun tan became an aspirational must-have.
