Tony Travers – How Labour lost the white working class – in today’s Evening Standard
An excellent piece by London expert Tony Travers, director of the Greater London Group at the LSE, that says that the mainstream parties have lost traction in the fight against fascism and rightly calls for government policies that address the bona fide issues of Londons white working class. An excert here:-
The BNP has ruthlessly exploited a perception that public services are unfairly allocated between indigenous residents and new ones. MPs attest to this.
The transformation of the white working class in the imagination and vocabulary of the Left goes deeper than that. As recently as the early Seventies, many on the Left saw the working class as noble, expressing a culture to be celebrated.
Actors such as Albert Finney and Michael Caine built careers on working-class chutzpah. Today, the Left is often suspicious of such people, seeing them as a threatening, racist “underclass”.
The Labour Party has done much since 1997 to strengthen public services and make London a better place to live. Until recently, Britain enjoyed a 15-year period of economic growth with a huge rise in public expenditure. There has been significant redistribution towards the poor.
Yet this same period has coincided with the rise of the BNP. Some poorer Londoners – and greater numbers beyond the capital – simply do not see the benefits the Government has brought to them. Instead they perceive a threat from unexpected newcomers.
Migration to London and the UK will continue. Until government explains the good immigration brings, rewards the areas that provide homes for new arrivals and strikes a deal with the remaining poor white population, the BNP threat will remain. We can no longer count on our political parties to defeat them.
the left are intellectual snobs, who believe they possess a superior morality, and despite their lack of practicality, arrogantly believe they can prescribe the panacea to society’s ills.

they have taken the working class vote for granted, while at the same time, allowed unrestricted mass migration from the third world, which has brought no benefit to Britain at all; just increased crime rates, taken public housing and jobs and introduced radical islam into your society like a malignant cancer.

I addressed the social housing thing on another post but it was the tory right who gave the dole wallahs the right to buy the house theyd rented off the council for a pittance rent, then never bothered replacing the housing stock.
This exaperated the problems of “they come over here take our houses and benefits”
get a fucking morgatge and buy a house!!. Instead they sponge off the state and demand housing for their bastard sprogs and then when they go on and have their bastard sprogs they want a flat!! cause instead of going to school theyre pissed on cider and and getting pregnant and chlamidia at the same time. Medicine i know is something Asian kids are encouraged to practice. Every asian father who was a a factory worker or a bus driver held their son and dreamt he would be a doctor. A lot of them made it, two of my siblings are in the medical profession one actual surgery and another research. But thats nothing to do with race as all people have identical abilities and potential.
Its just the same as more women are nurses it dosent mean men are any worse at nursing. Im not hung up on race but i speak as i find.

Well like you I don’t get a choice either, that white Doctor might have come from the “Harold Shipman School of Medicine” & is looking to give you a little something that will relax you forever or the nurse might have fantasies about Nick Griffin.
That Moslem Doctor might be a “Student” or come from “The Base”.

Actually I do, as Africans & Asians need doctors too but in the sick & warped minds of the liberal left, it is more important to shove mullti-culti on us than worry about the effect it has on the countries they are looted from.
Also what about the students here looking for jobs?
It seems to be a deliberate policy to use agencies who scour the world to bring health workers here, I think it is just another arm of the mass immigration policy designed to force multi-culturalism on us whether we want it or not.
There is no democratic mandate for this.
