The threat of neo-fascist violence

Neo-Nazi violence poses a threat to domestic security

We have already written about the threat posed by neo-fascist violence in Britain, but in today’s Independent Johann Hari has written this piece about why he believes that neo-Nazi violence is just as much as a threat as Jihadism.

Hari writes: “The campaign I am talking about is not being planned by jihadis or fringe Irish nationalists but by white “neo-Nazis” who want to murder Asians, black people, Jews and gays in the bizarre belief it will trigger a ‘race war’.”

He believes that the recent case of Neil Lewington proves how the threat is just as serious as Al-Qaeda and that the police should be monitoring white communities just as much as Muslim ones.

Concluding, Hari says: “We need to prepare ourselves now: the next person to bomb Britain might not look like Mohammed Sidiq Khan – he might look like me.”

Hari is perhaps over stating it a bit. Intelligence experts such as Europol believe, quite rightly, that the greatest threat to domestic security is Islamism. Last year, despite the fact that he UK doesn’t release a detailed break down of arrests, there were a total of 187 Islamists arrested compared to zero for ”far-right” groups through out the whole of Europe (see Europol report for 2009).

Moreover, Hari is assuming that all Muslims are non-white. But what about deep rooted Caucasian Muslim communities such as in Bosnia – where Osama Bin Laden launched a Jihad during the 1990s?  And what about converts such as Sulyman (Simon) Keeler? Having attended an Al-Muhajiroun rally in July, I noticed plenty of white converts among the crowds.

There is, however, a serious point that Hari misses, and which we highlighted a few months ago. Groups such as the BNP have the potential to act as a “conveyor belt” to violence. This does not mean that we believe the BNP are a terrorist organisation (in the same way Hizb-ut-Tahrir are not a terrorist group). But it does mean they provide disgruntled members of British society with an ideological framework that can give violent extremists the justification to carry acts of violence (just as HT has done with some of its radicalized followers).

What do you think? Should the UK security services consider neo-Nazi violence as a serious threat?

yesterday you conveyed to me, the statement that you and this site, were not implying that the BNP were neo-nazi. Today, this article implies that they are.
The BNP are a legitimate political party that seek a change in immigration laws, by way of legislative means; this site is again acting disingenuously by suggesting otherwise.
I, and other supporters of the BNP are anti-nazi, and i take offence at the implied connection. My family fought the German Nazis and it is wrong to suggest that because i oppose unregulated mass migration from the third world to the developed world, that i am on a “conveyor belt” to violence.
The biggest threat to western countries are those brain dead moslem morons that adhere to a religion rooted in the dark ages.

  2. They should definitely consider the threat which neo-fascist violence poses; but the ideological temptation will be to use this as an excuse to downgrade the threat of jihadi organisations, which will just have a see-saw effect on the fascists.

how many bombs have the BNP exploded on British soil? How many BNP supporters have been arrested for plotting terrorist attacks against Britain?

Its pretty bloody simple to see where the threat lies; with people who have no love or loyalty to Britain!

The Conservative party’s relationship to UAF would seem to warrant some analysis here, Maurice.

It would also be nice to see some statistics on interracial crime and then to see whose demographic policies – the BNP’s or the establishment parties’ – would have minimised victimhood.

I’d bet my house on the BNP’s policies proving much less of a conveyor belt to real not speculative assaults, rapes, murders and terrorism than either of the two parties we’ve had in power during this age of treason.

thank you for your kind words. The reason i support the BNP is that i see no evidence of fascism or neo nazis, otherwise i would not. In todays world, it is a bigger crime for a white man to want a little bit of the world for himself, compared to moslems killing hundreds of people per week with bombs in marketplaces, or Africans hacking each other to death with machetes. These crimes appear to pale into insignificance as soon as a european says he is sick of his country being overran by the hordes of third world economic aspirants.
We have the same happening in Australia and i think if Britain goes under the rest of us will surely follow. Any ditherers on this issue of unregulated mass migration should look at other societies in history that have been engulfed by waves of conquest; then they should ask themselves… Is this what i want for Britain?

Immagration is a massive problem and anyone who says it isnt doesnt live with any immigrants!
I think some of these cheeky foreighners have misunderstood immigration for colonization!
    Our country is being overrun!
I know i live in a so called “Multi-cultural” area and i wish i did not!
The current goverment is useless and should all locked up for treason!
For these reasons and many more ill vote for the BNP
I am neither a ‘Nazi’ or a ‘Racist’
but i love my country and now is the time to vote for the BNP!
