“Whites-only” update: “Advisory Council” puts membership policy on the agenda

The BNP’s “whites-only” membership policy is set for discussion at conference next month.

The “Advisory Council”, a cadre of senior officials who decide the ideological direction of the party, have decided to allow the upcoming challenge by the EHRC to its membership criteria to be discussed by the “Voting Membership” at the party’s Conference. Many commentators have thought that this issue would be resolved before Nick Griffin’s appearance on QT on the 22nd October or that the court case would not go ahead because of party funding.

A date has been set for October 15th and the party, as it stands, intends to contest the issue. It is thought by some that Nick Griffin would like to see a rule change to the membership criteria as this would remove the central argument against the BNP that it is a racist organistation. Perhaps by discussing this issue at conference the leadership is hoping to prepare the ground for the eventual rule change?

There is an opportunity for Nick Griffin to use the non-whites bar to his party as a “Clause Four” moment so that he convince voters that his party has really changed. But incidents such as party members attending neo-Nazi rallies, and party members that continue to espouse conspiracy theories about Jews and the Holocaust show that the party has got a lot of work to do before it can really say that it has changed its ways.

Besides the obligatory illegal immigration debate, the BNP council also decided to talk about new issues that will help them in their quest to look less like a single issue party.

Not surprisingly the Council has agreed to put the controversial war in Afghanistan at the top of the agenda. The party has been incredibly vocal on this topic in recent months as troop deaths and shocking injuries have started to polarize voters and encourage a loss of faith in the mission.

Also to be discussed is the minimum wage and less familiar issues to the party such as private health care, protection of farm livestock and the overturning of the smoking ban in pubs.

    Well yeah, duh!
With a court case hanging over them, of course they will discuss it!
I am sure it will get a mention on “QT” as well.

They been discussing other stuff for ages now, just look at the old news archives on the site.
Now UKIP are a bit of one trick pony who have gone rather quiet lately.

Funny thing is, the BNP isn’t very much more white than the Conservative party. It just dares to admit that it values who and what it is.

The Conservative party leadership and nothingbritish are out of touch with the party membership on this issue. Your typical Conservative member bristles at the fact that his party consults with and reaches out to all and sundry ethnic groups as such – except for the group making up the vast majority of the party, the English. That group exists – in the eyes of the Conservative party – only as a target for blame and displacement. More and more people are recognising this as one element of the only institutional racism in this country.

I would be Conservative but I realised long ago precisely what Fellist is saying that they don’t represent my interests or concerns.
I am fed up with warm words & them patting me on the head.
Only the BNP actually say that they will address what concerns me & have elected representives & possibly MP’s soon.

  21. Streona says:

If the BNP were to be elected they would -they say- encourage people to return to what the BNP say are their ancestral homes and if they do not they will have all civil rights taken away from them. Thing is that many of these “ancestral” countries will say “you have a UK passport therefore you are British” trapping people in th UK without welfare rights, access to the NHS, no employment rights and either live as vagabonds or be rounded up & placed (indefinitely) in camps. This according to Der Britisher Historiker David Irving was the situation camp commandants in the Third Reich found themselves when they decided to “thin” out their inmates, though nobody REALLY meant to gas everyone.
Looking on the bright side, this will never happen whilst people are prepared to fight these filth to the death if need be upon the streets, in the cities,on the landing strips and in the hills… We will never surrender.
