Sam, the Falklands have always been British; ever since the first settlers in the 1830s. Previously , they were uninhabited.
Any Argentinian claim, comes from Spanish claims to the islands, BEFORE Argentina got its independence.
The wish of the populace is to remain British and that should be respected. Why do you have a problem with this?
