Jobbik North London pub row rumbles on

Hungarian Guard members marching

Jobbik, the Hungarian fascist party with close links to Nick Griffin MEP, have responded to Nothing British via its English website.

Jobbik deny that money was raised for the Hungarian Guard and that no member who was present at the session was wearing jeans with Nazi insignia sewn onto the back.

A local journalist for the Camden News Journal who was present at Jobbik’s pub meeting has also given his take on Sunday’s events. Tom Foot reports that the meeting was used to raise money for the New Hungarian Guard

Foot also writes that the Gloucester Arms’ landlord, John Coyne, has said: “They are not National Front or anything like that. They are just Hungarians doing their stuff. They put their flag up and sing their anthem.”

Unfortunately, Jobbik are not just ordinary Hungarians. The Hungarian Guard, the para-military wing of the extremist party, is an organisation that is proscribed by Hungarian courts after it ruled that past marches have fuelled ethnic tensions and led to a disruption of public order. Many of Jobbik’s leaders regularly incite hostility towards Hungary’s vulnerable minorities. Sunday’s meeting did little to dispel their neo-fascist reputation.

Meanwhile, the Jewish Chronicle have reported that Great Ormond Street Hospital, who the British-Jobbik Association claim to have made a £230 dontation too, are yet to recieve any money from the organisation.

Great Ormond have yet to receive any money

A hospital spokesman said: “If we were to become aware of such a donation, we would investigate carefully and judge on the principles given above.”

  1. CNJ reader (worked in Budapest) says:

No Mr Foot has done nothing of the kind. What Tom Foot did in the Camden New Journal was repeat your lie against Jobbik.

As he makes clear in his article, “But anti-fascist moles sitting in on the meeting said a bucket collection also went around for the New Hungarian Guard, which replaced a banned paramilitary association, the Hungarian Guard, a few months ago.”

That would be you then, your lie, repeated, by him.
    Churnalism does not constitute proof.

And also as you know full well the collection for the hospital was donated to the landlord. The Jewish Chronicle has said so. Why would the Jobbik Friends of Hungary (UK) be sending the money?

Following your link to the Jobbik website. They ask you three simple questions:

    1. What proof can you provide for all this Swastika/Nazi stuff?
(They don’t deny it, they ask you to prove your lie. Self-evidently you can provide no such proof or you would have done so.)

    2. Why do you not demonstrate you truly are a morally driven “anti-extremist” organization instead of just the Tory party’s anti-BNP unit: by condemning the British establishment’s support for the murderous Jan Slota?
    (silence)

    3. What proof can you offer that money was collected for the Hungarian Guard, rather than for Great Ormond Street hospital?
    (none)

You are simply making fools of yourselves. The Jobbik piece is entitled, “How lies turn into “facts” in the British media.” And frankly, they’ve got you lot down to a T.

Jobbik have no neo-Fascist reputation, despite your fervent attempts to give them one. Anyone who knows anything about Hungary will tell you as much.

Forgive me, but whether someone is a Fascist apologist or not is to be frank, to me, completely irrelevant.

I simply object to being systematically lied to by an organization that claims to have a moralist objective.

This Hungarian party has put three simple questions on their website which remain unanswered. They predicted precisely as much.

Or is your position, Tad Suspicious, that if the Fascist charge is based on lies, and someone dares point out these lies for what they are, then the person pointing out the lies should be thought a “Fascist apologist?” I take it said individual would then be burned at the stake?

My position is that as a body funded by public donation, if Nothing British has been engaged in deliberate deception of the British public, as it would appear, then they are worthy of contempt. Pure and simple.

Finally, may I ask which academic definition of Fascism you consider this Hungarian group fulfills? Payne’s, Paxton’s, Griffin’s? Let me give you a clue by saying that flag-waving or having the UAF outside your pub is not considered a sufficient condition in any scholarly journal.

And yet curiously enough, you seem to find yourself perfectly capable of obfuscation…

All human beings lie, it is part of our make-up. Which is precisely why we rely so very much, on being given information we can trust.

When this trust is undermined, we are therefore justified in being suspicious of the motives of those who would dodge questions rather than answer them. This is precisely what Nothing British has done with respect to Jobbik’s perfectly reasonable enquiries. It is also what you did when I asked you to tell us which scholarly definition of Fascism you were using to categorize Jobbik.

My suspicion is that you are unacquainted with any of them, what other motive would you have for your rather childish ad hominem?

Thirteen-year-old rappers Chris “Daddy Mack” Smith and Chris “Mack Daddy” Kelly became the pop sensations of 1992 as Kris Kross. The two were discovered at an Atlanta mall in 1991 by then-19-year-old producer Jermaine Dupri, who took them under his wing and came up with the gimmick of having the duo wear all of their clothing backwards, lending more significance to their name. Thanks in part to savvy marketing, “Jump,” which sampled the Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back,” became the fastest-selling single in 15 years, staying at number one for eight weeks on the billboard chart..

    you are a sanctimonious hypocrite!

on one hand you defend the rights of migrants to be part of British society, but with the other , your views lead to the unravelling of British traditions and culture. As a descendent of immigrants, i wonder if your views are actually tempered with a mix of envy( at not being indigenous British) and resentment (the need to try and change society to fit in with your position).

We have the same problem here.

We let migrants in; they have been here 5 bloody minutes and say in pigeon English….” i am Australian”, then they spend the rest of their lives wrecking our culture in an attempt to inflict their own cultures upon us.

If you move to a country of your own free will ( or in your case, vor, because your antecedents did), then you should accept the prevailing traditions and culture of the host nation. Migrants should not be urged on by petty envy, and attempt to radically alter the host nation. In Britain, this can be seen with the ghettoisation of northern towns, which become facsimilies of Islamabad etc…

You are free in western countries to do pretty much as you like. If you dont like the environment in which you live, you are free to fuck off elsewhere!

This racial clash of cultures has actually been engineered by new labour since it came to power. What better way to destroy british culture. This has been their goal. To give an analagy, take a small town anywhere in the country, with a population of 10000 persons, tiddling along with life as usual, then arrange to increase the population with another 3000 persons who are of a different culture/creed, sit back and watch the whole british ethos vanish. They have also , by their devious machinations, nearly manage to kick out scotland as well, they have done the same to northern ireland, handing over power to persons of doubtful character ( to put it mildly ). All this is to squash all our forefathers shed blood for, to trample it into the dust. As far as brown and cameron are concerned, the EU rules, that is why they are doing what they are doing. Multiply vor by thousands. The british have enjoyed good relations with ethnic people but beind those relations was the union flag, that was our strength, hence brown and cameron must destroy our ethos. They will gain many accolades, rewards and the like, but they have lost everything that we, the british, respect. That is, stand by the flag, the UNION flag.

Sam, I was having a conversation with two Christians once, who were completely agree that it was absurd that each religion, even Christian denomination, claimed everyone else was lying and THEY knew the truth. Their next comment? That of course THEY knew the whole truth.

Edmund. How on earth do you think there can be a religion that doesn’t believe it is the one true religion?

No, I just find it ironic that religions call others arrogant for claiming to know the truth while telling everyone that THEY know the truth.

All I can say is repeat what it says in the Bible and that is good enough for me.As far as I know the Koran does not advocate killing sodomites or stoning to death adulterers or indeed wearing tents over their bodies, neither does the Bible, so obviously man has corrupted these books to own advantage. So if you study both books you will see that they virtually the same thing, the difference is man made.If people kept according to true religion it would be a paradise but of course that will never happen.Duringww2 the guards at the death camps wore buckles on their belts with” god with us” emblazoned on the metal. But you cannot blame the Bible for that, you blame the churches for lack of moral leadership, which is exactly what is happening here today, and the same thing happened during the fall of the roman empire. So we need someone with the guts to bring order back into britain. All you have to do is study the bible. It tells you what is happening, and what is going to happen. Sure, fools will laugh over their drinks, or when seeking perverted pleasure but they are the fools, and so is the govt. and churches for allowing this decay to take place. If you do not believe the bible then that is your misfortune, not mine.Well, it may be mine if you are a schoolteacher. You will then have to be vetted.

I remember a story awhile back that a French(?) girl had a vision from God & that in short, God told her that nobody had it quite right, nobody had a monopoly on the right way to worship God.

I’m trying to avoid comparisons with apartheid (because I assume you aren’t suggesting measures quite as strong as that system advocated) but how tolerant is it to keep people seperated because they don’t match your image of perfection? I assume other religions would be the next target because I’m unaware of the Bible saying to accept other religions, maybe I’m wrong though.

I think religion & sex (not necessarily at the same time) should be private matters & be seperate from the state.
The only exception I make is Islam which I & many others feel is dangerous in western societies.
I would allow it only on the basis it stays out of politics & keeps quiet.

Either you want to live in britain as a native or you do not. This is our country. How is it that , to take one example coloured police can have their own union, because if a native briton , white and in the police advocated a white only union, the pc brigade would have the shits. They would call for that man to be sacked. To put it simply, anyone has rights only a white, non sodomite british male, the policy of new labour is to have this person erased from living memory. That is why bnp is on the right track. By the way, what about global warming? Total balls.

I would get rid Trevor Phillips little empire & most if not all QUANGO’s, ACPO would need to be answerable to someone & not be a private company.
Common Purpose needs weeding out & so on.

As for global warming/climate change, the fact that Goldman Sachs & Al Gore stand to make billions out of this should tell you something.
Goldman Sachs were heavily involved in the banking crisis & have done well out of it, does anybody think these people will save the planet, I don’t.
Still if they screw it up, their money will be worthless.

No doubt about it, remember the well publicised photo of the polar bears, they were on a floe hunting seals, but the propaganda issued to the effect they had nowhere else to go. nothing is allowed to be normal anymore.

jason, as I said to Davey in another conversation I don’t support anyone being discriminated against, if Britain is to be a “level playing field” that means everyone has to be given the same fair treatment.

I tell you what, it would simplify the law greatly & put a few parasites out of business if we got rid of all the ‘isms & applied the law equally with no exceptions at all.

As in discrimination is wrong whoever the perpertrator or victim is? Or that everyone is allowed to discriminate?

The law should be blind, none of this dressing it up or playing it down because somebody is black or white.
There have been many cases that are seen as worse than others especially if the victim is from an ethnic minority & the perpetrator is white.

I agree, it shouldn’t get more or less attention depending on victim or perpertrator. If we’re going to condemn discrimination we should treat ALL discrimination as equally unacceptable.
