Nick Griffin attending European Parliament “Less Meat = Less Heat” Hearing

Nick Griffin and fellow BNP MEP Andrew Brons will inexplicably be attending the European Parliament-hosted “Global Warming and and Food Policy: Less Meat = Less Heat” hearing today. Also present will be environmental activist Sir Paul McCartney and Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Dr Rajendra K. Pachauri.

The European Parliament website listing for the event describes the focus as being on urging “legislators and experts to focus on what an individual can do to fight climate change, for example by eating less meat.”

http://blogs.freshminds.co.uk/research/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/pork_pie.jpgSimon Darby assures his blog readers that “Andrew will be bringing a pork pie and Nick will be asking if he can have the windows open!”

For someone so apparently opposed to the waste of taxpayers’ money, Nick Griffin appears remarkably keen to waste it himself. Why would a man recently so vocal in his denial of global warming be so intent on wasting even his own time at such a hearing?

Could it have anything to do with publicity and pandering to UK anti-politics sentiment?

And the point of this story is?!

If the tory party are to form the next government, then I think its about time you started talking about sorting this mess out that labour has left(not the BNP) instead of criticizing a party that has no chance of success in westminster!

PS. Wonder what all those tory-voting farmers will think about your pro-vegetarian stance:

NOTHINGBRITISH.COM and the TORIES want to BAN MEAT FARMING!!!

    Well Davey,

Maybe Griffin and Brons love the expenses claims too much, each time they appear at the parliment they get to claim a nice chunk of Taxpayers Cash on expenses.

Mayve they love the EU really and just pretend to hate it, they get the nice hotel, food, drink etc etc all paid for by Taxpayers when they hate the EU so much?

They hate it so much but they love taking the money OUR MONEY, if they really hate the EU do much why do they go there all the time?

Even just to turn uo and sign in to “Visit” their office there they can then claim a nice chunk of expenses all at our expense, you gotta love them really.

We’ll keep giving them our money to sit on their arses and do sod all but stand up in the EU at evert opportunint and SCREAM out New World Order Conspiracy bs …..

Well I think a contrary point of view needs to be expressed at these things rather than having some self reinforcing exercise.

If it OK for every other greedy so & so to claim expenses then why not Nick & Andrew, UKIP certainly are good at that, a bit too good at that.

Oh & this veggie once a week thing, I think is gesture politics at its absolute worst, it allows liberal left types to salve their conscience while actually doing very little of any use.
Isn’t it the vegetarian Hindu’s who have all those sacred cows wandering about in India, nobody would dare suggest limiting those would they?

The stories just get better and better.

What a cheek the tories of this sites have talking about the waste of taxpayers money. Nick and Andrew have a long way to go to get in league with the tories when it comes to wasting taxpayers money. Remind me which party had the worst expense claims.

Again nothing british making idiots of themselves again with yet another non story.

Cutting down on mass immigration and allowing the population to go down in line with the dissapearance of low-paid jobs and the need for Britain to become more skilled is a far more green BNP policy than anything the one party state is coming up with.

I hope that Paul could convince Nick about less animal farming. Less animal farming means less animal cruelty and more space to grow food, re-introduce copses, hedges, woods, wetlands and even forests.

I think the decision by the NUJ to be completly biased about everything Nick Griffin does and says (reached on the basis “that ‘concience’ should trump basic journalistic ethics and integrety” just show what a fascist state we are now living in.

Davey the fact is we need to start whacking people in western society before we start letting africa wither and die. It is of course a fact that the west consumes more resources than any other I have heard that its as high as 1% of the population consuming 99% OF THE RESOURCES.
Army bnp you obviously aren’t a metreologist . Britain will colder because we are sheltered from the normal cold associated with being this far north because of the gulf stream. As the planet warms the gulf stream will move and manchester will be as cold as Moscow.

davey says:The only way of stopping environmental meltdown is to reduce the worlds population, lets start by letting africa wither up and die.
Now the real fact of the matter is that if we are to have a cull to prevent environmental meltdown we should start in America and then move through other developed nations. Its a fact that that the worlds resources are consumed by the west far more than Africans. Ive often heard the statement 99% of the resources consumed by 1% of the population. I havent noticed many staving Africans clocking up air miles or buying lots of imported food only to let it spoil in their fridge or for that matter driving gas guzzlers. great idea !but as usual twisted to suit your own race based agenda…..

Once again army bnp is talking about a subject he knows nothing of and claiming to be the authority on it. Again its a narrow minded view based on our own weather without looking at the big picture. As you clearly are not a metreologist ill explain it: Britain is warmer than mainland Europe because we are warmed by the gulf stream, as the planet warms the gulf stream will shift leaving us in the cold. Moscow is only slightly further north than London so eventually we will have 4ft of snowfall and the ice skating on the Thames.
there is no disputing climate change but the fact its caused by man IS…

I take it you will stay here & “enjoy” that with the rest of us?
If that were to happen & yes, we maybe seeing the decline & fall of western civilization, who is going to bail the 3rd world out of the next crisis that will inevitably follow?
But as I said before, maybe if we stopped “helping” them, we might actually being doing them a favour as their corrupt governments would quickly go broke & lose power.
No wonder they’re keen on climate change & all the handouts that brings.

AA will agree im sure as he’s been to India, they dont even flinch when they see the most wretched of beggars with the worst afflictions. They swear at them tell them to f**koff and get a job. I know people with no diposable income drop coins into the charity box when they couldnt afford too do it.

Too true vor, there is no compassion within India for her poor/poverty stricken. The sooner they encourage vasectomies among the poor the better off they will be. Instead of a transistor radio, nowadays they might have to encourage them with a gift of an i-pod or the like.
I read an article in the paper today, in which Gaddafi is quoted as saying…
…”Allah will grant victory to Islam in Europe without guns, without swords, without conquest. The 50 million Muslims in Europe will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades”

I think i know another group where vasectmies wouldn’t go astray!

Hi Vor. I was kind of playing Devil’s advocate, experimenting with the idea.I don’t know what I think any more. All my life I have seen pictures, films and TV ads about starving Africans. We’ve had Missionary boxes,Live Aid, Band Aid etc etc and nothing has changed. We still see the pictures.
Now, with a slight feeling of compassion fatigue I wonder, when I see the charity ads, where the men are. Why aren’t they collecting the water? Why won’t they have vasectomies? Why won’t they wear condoms? Also I suppose where is the culture that presumably enabled them to survive before? Do the huts need to be quite so filthy and derelict?Where has all the aid money gone?
I understand that in primitive societies children are considered to be wealth – they can carry on doing the work, they are regarded as necessary for survival. But why are they still primitive in Africa?
Surely, overall, there should be some improvement?? Or does this mean that aid doesn’t work?

Please supply details of munitions and dates. Please do not get me wrong. Such things do happen, but the unexploded munitions found have all been, to my knowledge, German.
